Replaced rotors and pads with OEM at 76,000 new pins and hardware. Could have gone another 5,000 easily.

I got about 80k out of the first set. Changed out front and rear pads and rotors. Probably about 10k of life remaining at that time. Needed to drill out the pins to replace them thanks to the Northeast winters.
I am right at 166k now and there is plenty of life left on the pads, however my rotors need to be done again and I have 1 caliper sticking and both front calipers need new pins.

This time around I plan on going back to all OEM Toyota parts, rotors, new calipers, and TRD pads. Will see how it goes. Living in Texas now so no more salty roads.

Just replaced all pads and rotors at 80K miles. Front pads were at about 10% left and my rotors were warped. Replaced everything with OEM

I'm at 29k miles. I have pulsing on mine when I'm towing my boat, especially if braking going down hill. I also live up a hill and notice very slight pulsing now when I'm headed down the hill. Since it's not boating season and hasn't been for the 6 months, I've been going with my current brakes. But now with spring arriving, I'm going to get some new brakes.

Seems from people on this post, 29k is really, really early for new brakes. Also wondering if I'll need new rotors.

Is something wrong that I'm replacing mine at less than half the miles the rest of you are?

I'm at 78k and no issues yet. How much has OEM parts and labor been costing people? Just looking for a ballpark so I know what to expect when the time comes.

Parts were $583 for OEM rotors and pads (front and rear). I installed them myself but I'm sure labor would be $400-500 at the dealer

Dealership just quoted me $1500 to do front and rear on my sequoia, which is identical. Bleh. I already ordered parts for them a month ago and planned on doing them myself.

Replaced all rotors and pads at 69,000. Probably could have gone another 10,000 miles. I went all oem rotors and the lifetime copper ceramic pads at Autozone.

Dealer told me they get $180 per hour. That was 2 months ago. I was picking up front brakes and was curious and kinda surprised.

2014 here. Just replaced my OEM brakes at 82k miles. I knew they were getting low after 80k. They started to make a little noise then within a few days of that the rears started grinding. Fortunately I had my appointment already set up for replacement. I replaced with OEM pads and rotors. Hopefully I'll get another 80k out of these. I do a decent amount of towing up to 6k lbs.

Fronts - 50K, new pads & rotors cut - no pulsing or vibration -$493 at the dealer

Rear - 60k , new pads and rotors - no pulsing or vibration - just south of $800 at the dealer

26k here brakes are pulsing when braking. Most of the time I'm towing the boat so no surprise to me.

My 2019 Platinum was diagnosed by the dealer with warped rotors at 29k ( I knew they were by the pulsating) told me that is not rare but Toyota says it's not their problem. So now at 36k it's getting really annoying and shopping for new pads and rotors now.

Advics are OEM and they have them. I just picked up everything from the dealer. Once you factor in shipping through rockauto it’s the same price as dealer

I'm at almost 70k. Towed a boat for a few years. Feel like the rotors are warped on the driver left. Gotta get them looked at soon

I ended up going with Napa Adaptive one rotor and pads for the front. I usually go with Bosch but I didn't want to wait for shipping since I had free time this weekend.

My stock pads were almost to the noise maker but with the new ones it brakes 10x better. Guess time will tell how long they last etc.

Changed at 120k, have 40k on them now and the fronts are pulsing bad. Been towing a lot lately which has definitely accelerated wear. I use Centric rotors and OEM pads, very happy with the quality and stopping power for the money.

I got right at 70k. All rotors were fine, but I tow and noticed it was getting hard to stop. Purchased the entire rotor and pads kit from AutoAnything. Front pads had about a dimes thickness and rear pads still had about half.

When I first got my tundra I was doing lots of Hwy miles and towing close to 8k several times a month or so. The first step of brakes lasted right around 50k, I was getting lots of pulsing and had all the rotors turned and new OEM pads installed. Everything lasted close to 65k and I replaced everything with some parts from O'Reilly. I think it was Raybestos brand if i remember correctly. Since then I've had all the rotors turned once and will have to replace pads and rotors in another 5 to10k miles or so.
Not sure what brand of parts I'll use this time, but can say the tundra brakes have lasted way longer than my old 02 SuperDutys brakes did, I had to turn rotors ever 40k and replace pads at the same time.
