Wait...I thought 285/75r17 was the perfect tire size...

I vote KMC. Those Method’s have the perfect numbers for a wheel (offset/weight/no big faux headlock) and I tried to like them, but they’re blahhhh. KMC’s would be a PITA clean.

Are you certain on those weights?

I had emailed MRW about the 313 and they replied that it weighed closer to 25-26lbs. I also have pretty big doubts that the KMC Trek weighs 27lbs, it looks heavy. The KMC 717 is considered to be their light weight option, listed on their site at 24.47lbs (lol on the .47). I know manufacturers have gotten the listed weight wrong before, always wondered if you could return them for being wrong.

If youre not in a hurry FN is working on rereleasing their 17s, should be 17x8.5 or 17x9 +25. Weight should be between 21-24lb per wheel, total cost for all 4 estimated around $1000.

It is the perfect size unless you want 37s because you got a new bumper and you need a justification for a new purchase. Gosh. Don’t ruin it!

I am going off the weights listed on the websites. I feel like FN does not have an actual date or time at all compared to Method or KMC. I like the six shooter. The six shooter is close to the Method 313 actually. I just know it could be three months or six months or never maybe.

I agree, I would call for a real weight if that’s a strong decision point which it appears to be!

It is definitely the largest part of my justification to go to a 37.

Ooh tell me more about this FN wheel? Is it a group buy or is it just getting released in the near future. Guessing you buy those direct like SCS?
This whole weight savings idea for a bigger tire has me pre-spending my covid cash lol! I need to save, geesh I have little self control.
See the disease is contagious around here! :spending:

Ive been working with Dustin at FN. Currently slated for release in late Q1 21 to early Q2 21. Havent discussed dicounted pricing, but msrp on the current 17s is lower than comparable Methods and many other brands. Im not going to say theyre the best out there, but they may be when it comes to weight/cost value.

Called Method and they confirmed 23.5lbs on the phone also, sooooo, I guess that is that. Unless someone actually weighed one on the forum elsewhere, I really do not have any other proof.

With 37’s, you’ll have a justification to regear to 5.29’s. I would go 37’s if it wasn’t for my camper plus garage opening height.

Best is such a tough word in the wheel game. Best at what? Being the lightest, or the toughest (to whom?) or the hardest to get (SCS), etc. I like his wheels for sure. My truck is 75 on road 25 off road on the east coast. Dirt trails, sandy beaches and state parks. So any wheel will work for me in the 27lb and under 17 inch 5x150 ) +18 or 25 offset. I just like these two I asked the Tundrapublic to vote on. Methods have taken a commanding lead. Oddly enough I got a quote for four of the Method 313's mounted, balanced and shipped with lug nuts including tax for $1133.60 or $283.40 a wheel with lugs and mounted and balanced. Now I need to get a quote on the KMC's.

I got you man, if it were me and I could get that deal on the 313s it would be a done deal. Thats cheap considering all the factors there.

The placement of fakeness is key. Also I got tired of searching for a wheel that would work with my lift.
But I will add; It s fine having a preference, but to condemn the preference of another seems a bit arrogant. I don t know. Maybe that s a Texas thing...

It’s not a Texas thing. You want a low rider. Do it. You want gold wheels? Do it.
