Today I took my truck in for a yearly inspection as well as to have the K0B recall done on it. Everything went great except with an issue with the end of 3 of the lugnuts being marred somehow. I wanted to reach out and ask you guys how you think this happened so that it can be prevented in the future. The answer the tech gave was that if it was his socket it would have got all of the lugnuts, which I strongly disagree with. I am posting a picture of the issue. I know it’s just a truck and things like this happen but I feel carelessness was the main culprit.

    Thanks

Also, what is the part # for these type factory lug nuts? I will most likely order a few so that I can address this issue myself.

The socket slipped off at some point while still spinning.

To each their own, but damn dude you are anal if that's getting on your nerves hahaha

I appreciate the response. To each their own but if you are fine with taking your truck to the dealership and then finding things like this, better you than me. I think this is hence part of the reason people feel the need to maintain trucks theirselves, rather than let someone else do it.
