Hi, can anyone tell me whether or can use a set of rims I took off my 2023 Tacoma limited (18”) and use them on my 2024 Tundra (18”). The difference in the two is that the Tacoma wheels are a +15 offset and the Tundra are +60.

    thanks for any advice

Supposedly the studs are thicker on Tundras but if they're aftermarket wheels they might still fit. Dry fit one front and rear to see.

I took my aftermarket wheels from my Tacoma and put them on my Tundra to see how it would look. I ended up going a different route though. That said, yes it will fit. +15 will bring the tire outside the fenders possibly an inch or so, depending on your wheel/tire combo. You can get some inspiration on this thread https://www.tundras.com/threads/22-3rd-gen-wheel-offsets-fitment-thread.99924/

The offset won't matter for fitment. You need to look at the lug pattern, lug size, and the hub size. Depending on the wheel you may need to make sure the load rating is appropriate as well.

The whole wheel offset and tire selection thing pisses me off mightily. I'd like to get a larger P metric road-oriented tire for my TRD OR 18" wheels but they are only 7.5" wide, so 285/60 p metrics don't fit (need min 8" wide rims). Otherwise, the selection of tires is limited to load range E, which I don't want. Then the aftermarket wheel guys... sheesh... all the 8-9" wide wheels I like come in zero or +20 offset, which with a 285 or 295 tire will be too poke-y for me. I don't understand why they don't make more of these wheels in +40 which is similar to the TRD Pros, which to my eye is perfect. Method has a couple with +35 and +40, but these are few and far between.

They don't make them because they don't sell. Also, it's not uncommon to need to move the tires out when going larger to keep from rubbing on the control arms and such.

I'd say that the majority of folks getting poke-y wheels do it for looks, not clearance and function. But, IMO, the 40mm don't sell because they don't make them. Not everyone wants to look like a... well I won't say it. I went through this same issue with my Tacoma and eventually got a set of TRD Pros for it which were perfect. But those were reasonably priced regular alu wheels, not the current Tundra forged BBS $$$.

They do make them. You said so yourself, but they are few and far between because that is not what the majority of the aftermarket demand dictates. The Tacoma ones aren't forged, that is why they are cheaper.

Instead of griping in this thread, why don't you create a new one and tap the awesome resource that is this forum? Give the offset and width your after and ask if anyone knows of something that fits it. You never know, there might be something great just waiting to be discovered.

I have 18x9 +15 offset for my winter set and they are a great setup.

It can be tough being in the minority (of the market) sometimes...:p

Exactly... and with my double cab and long bed I already feel like an outlier or second class citizen. ;-). But I was able to find the model wheel I like (Fuel Flux) in a 30mm offset, which would work. But they don't make that offset in the colors I want. LOL.
