Flea market scores from this weekend

Never Used Spyderco Para 3 G-10 DLC S30V (factory second) $90
From a local couple who were selling some of their collection. Very knowledgeable and great to talk to. He had a some other Spyderco's from $75 - $300 as well as some other high end knives too. I am a sucker for the G-10 Scales and the DLC finish so the Para 3 caught my eye. He wanted $110.

Never used CKRT Brian Tighe 8102 $4.00

Never used (3) Whitetail Cutlery (Frost Cutlery) $4.00 each ($12.00)

The CKRT and the Whitetails were in a box marked $5.00 Each.
Everyone was passing the box up because they thought it was just junk in there, (Which it mostly was)
The CKRT was a good find and I grabbed the Whitetails because there were 3 in like new condition and thought they were kind of cool. He said $16.00 for all 4.

We have the wife's 2020. This will be for our youngest who gets his permit next summer. We wanted a reliable vehicle with the 4.0 and we had to jump on this one as low mileage vehicles are harder to come by.

How the 'rake' on those things??? I usually prefer boots that have a very neutral profile, as most hiking or work boots have an elevated heel which puts stress on my old knees... I wish I could find a 'negative heel' in a decent insulated boot!

Just walking around the house they feel relatively neutral, at least compared to the Salomon 4D GTX hiking boots I have. They do have a slight rake though.

Finally have 2nd generator. Detach garage will have the older 8k champion. This new 13k will be for the house. Set up, tested, mounted on palet, and test fit. All good and spend weekend updating electrical.

At the risk of starting a shitstorm, I don't understand the folks that buy their kids a vehicle. We sold vehicles to our kids, with discounted prices and provided financing at 0 interest. But there was established, in writing, payment plans. With penalties for non-compliance. I pulled the wires off of my oldest's when she missed a payment and violated curfew at the same time. It was painful, but effective. They both pay their own way now.

I don’t have to worry about this for my son for almost another 10 years. But honestly in today’s world idk how a teenager working part time and making minimum wage could afford to buy a car and pay for car insurance without assistance from someone.

I'm a big fan of learning to earn. This is a great model for parents to help their kids get a car but also pay for it so they understand how valuable it is for their freedom.
