Garmin Epix (gen 2) to replace my old Fenix 5X.
I gotta get used to a slightly smaller overall face, but basically the same screen size and SO much more readable (and touch screen). That Fenix 5X has been my every-day watch for 5-1/2 years.

Broke down and got a Magpul BUIS set, front and rear.

Tried to tell myself the 40 dollar Chinese
Made Amazon ones I had on my HD AR did the job and POI wasn’t changing every time I took it out because of how wobbly they were. But the fact is it was. Plus because of the crappy mechanism
I already had to brake them down and loctite the retention screw to stop them from popping up on their own while
Shooting. After Putting the Magpul rears on a couple M4 style setups with the fixed from post and seeing how solid they felt, how fast they zeroed and how well they held Zero I decided I had to do front and rear for my main squeeze.

Tried it on last night. It’s pretty compact so I’m hoping it works well for me.

Picked up a used canon 50mm F1.4 lens a week or two from the local camera store. My trio of F4.0 zoom lenes was not cutting it to get photos of the kids indoors. This has been so much better for that.

How are you liking the watch? What made you choose that over the fenix 7?

I’m liking it a lot so far. The brightness and clarity of the screen (at the cost of battery life) was the ultimate decider for me over the Fenix. Everything has more visible detail due to the higher pixel count of the OLED screen.
I would have loved to see a larger size like the Fenix 7X, but I’ve gotten used to the slightly smaller size and it is less bulky for sure. I’ve actually been wearing it to bed to get some sleep metrics out of it - no way I was going that with the bigger Fenix X.
Compared to my old 5X, this thing seems to measure so much more. I’m still playing around with a lot of it, getting it dialed where I like. Battery life really is pretty good - I run an analog face with a lot of stuff, but I have it drop to just date and digital time after a few seconds unless I do a full wrist turn or tap the screen - which saves a lot of juice. I’ve gone four full days with it only charged to 75% and it was about 20% when I plugged it back it. I usually polish it up in charge when I jump in the shower in the morning.

Cool thing is that the lenses are magnetic and interchangeable.
Seems like a good company and says they will send you a new pair free if you lose or break yours. Time will tell if that’s true or not.

Wife can never get the gas blower started, so decided to try out a dewalt battery operated blower since I have a bunch of their stuff

I had bought a 20v black and decker blower awhile back and it looked like a toy and couldn’t blow out a candle so was worried about getting the 20v dewalt over their 60v but it is actually pretty powerful!

If I had 60v batteries already I would’ve went with that one bc it looks like for wet stuff it works better, but for 90% of the stuff I need this one for it’ll do the trick!

Been real lax on keeping old generator serviced. Luckily I was able to pick this up just now.
PS I have about 25 lp tanks. Gas cans are my stash that I used this summer

Nice I have been looking at the little 3500-4000 watt version of that one at Costco for our travel trailer to give us the option so we are not reliant on rv sites with hook up. The water tank can last us 2 days, but in Texas we need AC almost year round.

Have you looked into getting the larger LP tanks?

A set of Apple AirPods Pro. I held off on getting some for awhile simply because they seem to be ubiquitous, especially amongst kids who want them because Apple. LOL

With that said, I use my cell @ my job a lot more than I used to, and wanted a *good* pair of earbuds, and they fit the bill.
