Got my Bubba Rope soft shackle in the mail. I also thought I’d try the HF Badlands soft shackle and regular style shackle as well as a HF hitch block. Due to procrastination of buying an Agency6 or Factor 55 hitch block I needed one ASAP for this spring snow storm.

So far almost 24 hours of snow and 60mph wind gusts. Picture does no justice. Tomorrow I’ll be busy.

Funny thing is that I've been telling my wife for near to a decade "Trust me, you'll own one someday."

I bought a '00 4Runner Highlander Edition (didn't know such a thing existed until we bought it) and that's when I said "NOW I understand the deal with Toyotas."

Bought my '20 Tundra in 2020 just as COVID hit. Just prior to that, we'd purchased my wife's '12 Highlander; she loved it but it had some SERIOUS paint issues, and fixing them would have cost $10K to fix (seriously).

8 months ago she traded it in on a '20 Highlander...and she just could not get used to it. Buttons everywhere, and rear visibility was crap honestly. Once I heard her damn near run over a trash can, I said "That's it. I'm going to MAKE you test-drive a 4Runner."

Maybe 20 minutes into the test drive, she looks at me and said "You should have done this a LONG time ago. I want one."

Put the one you see above on order back in February, and it got here last Friday. She absolutely loves it. Bonus: All of her friends who she had no clue even owned a 4Runner are suddenly coming out of the woodwork to welcome her into the fold, recommend mods (here we go), etc. LOL! I told her a while back "You have to realize, even coming from a Toyota, when you buy a 4Runner, it's not just a purchase. You're joining a community."

She told me "I get it now...I'll never sell this." :D

My wife had a ‘93 4R when we met. We sold it in 2007 when we got her a CX-9 to have more room for kids and their friends. We couldn’t afford to do it any other way, and the thing was showing its age at that point. But I again didn’t know shit about modding or upgrading it either. Wish I’d been able to keep it just for doing that.

We’ve talked recently about getting her a new one, but she likes the smaller size of her Forester now that the kids are grown up. But she’s also got her eye on a Tacoma now too…

Garmin streetpilot, its an older unit but it does what I need it to. Its not much better than "bout a mile down on the right" but that is redneck navigation at its best. Oh and the price was just right...
    $0 baby!!! Hell yeah!
