Just got a griddle myself the other day... What a tool. This thing is amazing. After seasoning it, went full hibachi (minus the onion volcano). WOW. Can't wait to try some serious flat top grilling this summer.

If you're on the edge, just do it. I'd recommend these essentials: basic Blackstone flipper kit with scraper, magnetic bottle caddy, metal lid/cover to trap in heat and steam to melt cheese & cook veggies.

Clean up is an absolute breeze compared to conventional cooking.

First pair of Thorogood boots? My dad just bought a pair and loves them but like to hear more than one opinion. Right now they are the top candidate for me when I’m ready for new work boots. I like the made in America and that they will resole them.

    Yes.
I have worn Irish Setters wingsetters for a long time almost the same boot. They resole them also I have always loved them but thought I would try the Thorogoods so I can keep my money here.:oldglory:

    Love Thorogood boots!
They fit awesome from day one and are great on concrete, a little slick in the winter though. They are nice and lightweight, I wear mine out of work all the time.
I've got two pair in the last few years and had one resoled last year. My pair fit better than new when I got them back but a coworker said his had a weird feel. They do have a 3rd party in CA do the refurbish, if that matters to you.
    Good luck!

I have a pair of hawx that I really like(made in USA) but I’m on my second set due to the toe cap starting to peel away or ripping from the stitching, the first pair they said it was because I hadn’t been conditioning them; I hadn’t. I’ve conditioned this second pair every month and they are doing it faster!

For us land creatures, what’s the reason for smaller and wider grab handles on the pull ropes?

Wider is for faster two handed stuff like wakeboarding, wakestaking, waterskiing.

Narrow handle is a surf rope - safety thing since the boat only goes 9-11 mph surfing and to find the “sweet spot” of the wave a rider will choke up varying lengths. Narrow handle minimizes the chance of rider getting tangled up during a crash.

When skiing or wakeboarding, your always on the end of the line and going 20mph+ so the handle gets pulled away before you can fall into it.

Ok that makes total sense! I don’t think wake surfing was to big when we were on the lake for scouts.
Do you have fancy ballast bags, or going that 9-11mph makes a huge wake in its own?

We’ve got 3 hard tanks that hold 900lbs and 3 bags that hold another 1,850lbs. Finally got it last year to where it is all hidden and plumbed with pumps that have switches on the dash. She is buried to the rub rail when full and absolutely terrifying to drive. :D
