Thanks, I'll check them out. It will also be the first time in 25 or 30 years that we've had 2 TVs. Don't know if that's good or not, I'll find out.

Ah that sucks. I always keep an extra bulb on hand. If it fit your projector I’d gladly overnight it for you but I have an epson 3500 so I’m sure it wouldn’t work. :(

Thats the projector i have in my home office/theater room. Its been great, i wish it was a little shorter of a throw, but been working great.
I 3d printed an adapter and put a different lens on it to try to make it fill out the screen a little more, worked ok, but got a bit of curving on the bottom.

Thats about what i bought mine for years back. My screen is 10' and my room is 10' wide, so if i ever upgrade, i'm going to go with an ultra short throw (probably laser) and mount it above the screen with a cantilever mount.
i almost jumped on a VAVA laser projector on black friday. It was on Amazon for $1800 for about 20min before it sold out, i was thinking about it and thought for too long.

Appreciate it, but it won't work. I bought two lamps this time. Hopefully in four years I remember where the second one is.

Picked up my first real drone - a DJI Mavic Air 2. The goal is to use it to film some skiing/wakeboarding/surfing at the lake this summer. If any of you use a drone off a boat I’d love to hear your experience.

very nice man. i had a 94 900rr and loved that machine. comfy for a big cc sportbike but it felt small and nimble. that's one of the things it was known for in the early days....helping shave the perception of big sportbikes feeling big and heavy.

I'm too scared to use it off a boat. I fly over the river and lake every once in a while but with my luck I'd love communication with it and it wouldn't know what to do except dive into the water lol.

what's the range on the AIR 2 ? I really want one but think I wouldn't use it much and that is the drone I would buy and unfortunately that one isn't cheap ! Ive even looked online (craigslist, offerup, etc) and same thing ,people bought them and have very little flight time and are selling them but still for a high dollar amount

The legal answer is as far as you can see it but I've seen on YouTube people make it 5 miles out and back for 10 miles traveled on a single battery. DJI says the remote is good for up to 4.3 miles. I think 3 miles or so is a realistic range unless you have something huge blocking the signal.

I was originally looking at a Mini 2 but then found out it doesn't have the automated tracking feature which was a deal breaker. I'll be driving the boat or getting towed so that thing needs to fly itself.
