Nothing fancy here, deck boards. Sure love the roll down back window, snapped a pic before I ratcheted them down.

My girlfriend and I bought a house. Pics to come in the next few days. Two car garage which will only fit her car, my Tundra in the driveway. But it's on a private street so we own the street in front of the house.

    A bunch
Love it - after having it from now on it'll either bed a DB cover or no cover at all for me. Only issues I've had are the clamps backing off since they don't have second nuts to lock and the clamps aren't down super tight because of the rubber seals. Had it off for the last 2 weeks because of doing yard work and it comes off in 15 minutes and back on by myself in 15 minutes. If you want to put bed lights in don't put long ones that stick under the tie down rails since the locking pins slide under those to lock. Only thing I'd like them to add would be a u-bolt or something like that under the cover so when I have to crack it to have lumber over the tailgate hanging out I wouldn't have to use the lock to strap the cover down to the cargo.

Here's how to set up a poor man's transfer switch using the 240V dryer receptacle (all natural gas users are probably out of luck for this method):
    1. Make sure you have a main breaker at the main power panel to your house - If you don't have a main breaker in your panel, STOP. Following the rest of these instructions could kill a utility worker!
    2. Establish a location for your generator that allows for external ventilation of the exhaust
    3. Obtain a cable (minimum 10 gauge, 8 gauge preferred) long enough to reach from your dryer outlet to your generator
    4. Attach a dryer plug that matches your dryer receptacle to one end of the cable
    5. Attach a 30A plug that matches the 240V 30A receptacle on your generator to the other end of the cable
    6. If your dryer receptacle is a 3-prong (older homes), attach a ground wire (12 gauge minimum) to your generator and connect it to something that is well grounded
    7. With the generator off, attach the cable at both ends
    8. CRITICAL: TURN MAIN POWER BREAKER OFF - This protects the electrical crews trying to restore power to your house by preventing backfeed from your generator to the local power grid
    9. Turn off high power breakers (Central A/C, stove/oven, etc.)
    10. Turn all lights in the house off
    11. Make sure the generator switch for the 30A feed is OFF
    12. Crank the generator and let it idle for a few seconds.
    13. Turn the 30A generator switch to ON.
    14. Start using your indoor lights and low power loads, including a small window A/C unit (best to limit to ONE of these), for GREATLY increased comfort during the power outage.

When you notice other lights in your neighborhood have come back on, turn the generator off, remove the cable, plug your dryer back in, turn all your breakers back on, including the Main.

I have used this setup to run my freezer during the day, and the A/C at night to help us sleep better.

NOTE: Depending on your generator, the power provided may damage or decrease the life of some electronic equipment. It is best not to use sensitive electronics any more than necessary with this setup. LED lights may also be damaged by the power output of your generator.

Hope this helps you Florida guys! I used this setup for a couple of weeks after Katrina when I lived in South Mississippi.

Excellent post. My mom lost power @ the house a few months after my dad passed away in Jan 2019; and she called a local friend who worked for the electrical department. He about lost his mind when she told him this is what her husband always did.

What many don't realize is that - SO LONG AS one takes the proper precautions (turning off the main breaker/high power breakers/lights), this will never harm a soul, and is essentially the exact same thing as a transfer switch, except far cheaper.

In our case, we kinda lucked out, because we built a new extension a few years ago; so our washer/dryer got relocated, leaving a 240V dryer receptacle open for just this use if needed.

Received my console organizer and wireless charger. Need to add something on the sides of the organizer so it doesn't move too easily. It easily slides around when the top is open.20200605_132644.jpg

Dont forget to register it. $5 and takes about 5 minutes. Will save you a bunch of headaches if someone reports you. I doubt that would happen in Idaho, but you never know anymore.

Oh lord, I will never try to explain this to anyone on the internet ever again. Got sceamed at on another forum years ago by wire pullers that have no clue. I had a "general contractor" tell me that I should not send power down lines that have always had power flowing the other way. After standing up for my self and showing I understand and Troubleshot Complicated elec issues every day and there no problem feeding my panel from a side breaker he says that someone else in the house could turn on the main. I know in my house that is not even a possibility cause the wife is scared to death of the Breakers but I just quit responding.

    Cody,

I would recommend joining the DJI forum. I have a Mavic Pro and haven't flown it in months. The DJI Go app had some software issues so alot of us went back to older versions until the can figure it out. I haven't been on the forum in a while to follow up on it, but just wanted to put that bug in your ear in case you have any issues. We had issues like garbled video on the display once you got about 150 feet away.
