That sir, was a fun car. Specs:

LS1- PRC 5.3 2.5 heads, Fast intake, N Williams TB and MAF, two different sets of injectors. 60lb for the 150 shot and 32lb for DD, big fookin cam, dyno tuned with EFILive. AR 1 7/8 LT headers, full Corsa exhaust with dump. This setup put 438 hp to the ground without spray.

Drivetrain- M6 with stage 3 monster clutch, sub frame, Strange S60 4.11 gears 35 spline cromo shafts. Strange driveshaft. Had to ditch the aluminum one with slicks.

Suspension- Ebach lowering springs Bilstein shocks

The stereo was pretty much custom built. It helped drowned out the exhaust. Some custom interior panels, otherwise stock.

Fun car. Scary, but fun. Friday night drags was always a hoot. Without slicks, it just would not hook. At the end of the 1320, going into 4th gear I would still have to feather the throttle or spin. 13.2 was the best I could get spinning a lot. 5500' elevation and 7800' air.

My buddy was driving...I want to take it to bandimere this summer and see what it can do in the quarter mile. He was running a 12 second before the S/C.

For sure, even at stock HP of 505. Number 1 thing that destroys these cars are a loose ass end, chop the throttle or the tires grab, then off to a ditch or another car you go...lol

Damn car sounds great too. Nothing like riding in a SC car. In a Vette...mind blowing.

Glad you had a great time.

Build your own. Actually, it is cheaper to buy one than build one for sure.

Wonder how your buddies car would do against the C6 ZR1?

I'm going to go with my 1971 Toyota Celica. 18RG, dual side drafts, 5 speed trans., and a 430 rear end. I had so much fun and so many second looks. I loved it.

I love the old chevelles, and camaros. The old mustang fastbacks are nice too but all time I would have to say 70 Camaro Z28. I have never had the chance to own one but maybe someday. My brother owned a 67 Chevelle, was built to the hilt. Used to be a Drag Car.

Nothing personal, but my monies on the ZR1 each and every time. Buddy in our Vette club has an 11' and has done a few things to it, and it just flat out goes. Throw in some twisty's - forget about it. My Vette is purpose built for the mountain twisties, and I can hang with him as long as the road stays twisty - when it straightens out....I just give him the Vette wave as he pulls away.

I realize you Kansas folks only have straightline roads, but here things are different. No way that ride remotely hangs with a ZR1 in this neighborhood - not even close.

Later on...maybe in about 10 years, I'd like to buy one and build it up. Be a nice little project for me and the (maybe) future son! Might let him drive it to impress the ladies and prom dates.

He'll be the ONLY kid in his school that can drive a stick!! I guaran-damn-tee you that!!
Not just that, but that's probably gonna be the best theft deterrent in a few years....I'm pretty sure it already is LOL

Not only that, none of his friends will try driving his car. I let a couple of friends drive my car in high school. Those two dents stayed on my car til I got rid of it.

I agree. One of my buddies did a bunch of work to his Corvette and it put down 730hp to the rears (base, not a ZR1), and I would kill him in the corners, but in the straights....it was ugly.
