Is it me or does it seem like some of 21 models are having more issues than other years?
I am about to take delivery of a 21 limited by the end of the week and this has me a little concerned.

Every manufacturer has a bad year. Covid probably contributed. I have no idea what I am talking about as mine has been flawless but always ready to help someone worry if they want too.

I bought a 2021 in May...just passed 4K miles with no issues. Runs like a top.

What issues are you hearing of?

I wouldn't worry. Mine has been flawless, and I've put it to the test with road trips pulling the family travel trailer, trips to the HD, etc.

Have these been widespread/consistent, or anecdotal one offs? Full disclosure: I've not followed super closely as I own a '19, but I've not seen a bunch of reported problems.

No complaints here. Just need to post this since a lot complain about Toyota paint. I just detailed my LunaRock Pro and I am really happy how the paint looks on my truck. I even thought looked good before I detailed it.

almost 5K miles and I don't have any issues other than the occasional grind from the AC compressor (i think thats where it's coming from) when it's been sitting for 2+ days and I start it with AC left on. Apparently, it's not totally uncommon and haven't seen anyone say it caused any damage. Plan to have it looked at at 1st service, but other than that no issues. None of the issues I have seen on here compare to the issues I had with the 2019 Silverado I had for 8 months.

ha I know! The look my wife gave me standing in the garage when she heard it. I honestly thought it was the ignition grinding at first from possibly turning it while it was already starting.

People tend to post about problems more often than they do about trucks having no issues.

Just rolled 10k and no issues so far. Adaptive cruise messes up when it rains but that’s about it.

My 2021 TRD pro has charging usb issues where they turn on and off every 10 seconds or so. My front Sway bar bushing is also squeaking like a elephant making love on a metal frame bed

I'm one of the lucky recipients of a 21 Platinum with the driveshaft/rear dif squeal. The service manager took a ride with me to hear the noise. After hearing it he said he has worked for Toyota for over 20 years and never heard or experienced what's going on with my truck.

With only 250 miles on it, it's a bit deflating having the truck in the shop at the dealership right now. Hopefully it's rock solid after they figure it out.

them idiots plugged in my wireless charger which holds a charge into the dual 2.0 port and said there wasn’t a problem.

they also sprayed lube from the out side of the bushing and said they didn’t hear any noise.
    10 miles later….. it’s back
