    That is good practice!

Some friends and I back in 96' in Fresno, CA had an altercation at a drive through, weapons were pulled, and some shit happened, some shit talking happened. The two dumbasses in my sports car assumed I had my G20 on me. They were to drunk to remember that I didn't retrieve it from the storage compartment in the rear. Finally, after about 6 minutes of shit talking, I placed my car in park, popped the hatch, reached in and pulled out my G20 and spare mag. I then proceeded to eject a round out of my spare mag and threw it at the three people giving us a hard time. I told them the next one was coming at a much faster velocity. It was so flippen funny. Everyone stopped what they were doing and it was like in slow motion watching me in amazement.

So to the point, we went back to the town home and I had some choice words for those two morons for escalating a situation. Where those fools going to do anything? Most likely not. Who knows. My one friend said " I could have deflected the gun". I called bullshit. I took my Glock apart and just used the frame since we had been drinking, stood by him like the one guy did with the gun at his side. I told him to deflect it. Not once was he able to deflect my Glock frame before the trigger was depressed. At that point, we would have all been in trouble.

Think I am between the Glock and S&W right now.
i feel like I have been the most accurate with the Glock 19 so the Glock 26 might be the best choice for concealed carry.

Go shoot a P-01 if you haven't already. Alloy frame too, so when you're out of ammo you can use it to bludgeon your enemies. It's also going to have a much better trigger than any striker fired pistol out there.

Have you considered the G43. It's a little more concealable than the 26? I find it a lot more comfortable to conceal than the G26.

Oh cool, well if you end up considering it check out Taran Tactical. They make some solid base plates that increase capacity. +1 and +2. If you need more rounds than that you are in a bad situation and probably should have a rifle lol.

Now that I have my CCW I'm much more aware of situations and am very conscious about deescalating anything before it ever starts. I would hate to have to shoot somebody, or get shot, over something stupid like an argument.

My CCW is for protecting my family in case some crazy person tries to hurt them.

I have one. I like it but I bought it for a Glock 19 and in my opinion the holster with a G19 in it is a little too big to shove down your leg like that. Would work nicely for a smaller gun like a G43, S&W Shield or the like.

When you sit down the holster runs down the side of your leg and makes it look like you've got a woody about 15" long running down your leg. I guess some like like that though, hahahahaha.

Ruger Take down, 1 half in each pant leg. Its a little more slow to draw, but I can accurately defend myself from a perceived threat at 100yd.

For some of those who carry in their truck, do you normally take the gun with you when you're not in the truck?

Just curious, saw a few who have listed a holster mod to their center console and some who have stated they carry in their truck.

It's in an under steering wheel holster, I leave it in my truck during work but take it out when I go in for the night (truck is not garaged).

EDIT: I should also note that my truck is locked in a 24 hour gated area with cops coming and leaving regularly.

I keep a G19 in the truck and in all seriousness keep the take down under the back seat. I got my CWP with really just the intention of only that. Worked for the School District for 5 years and they had a strict policy prohibiting guns on school grounds and most of what I wear on my off days isn't really CC friendly.

Handgun stays on my hip unless I'm going into work in which case it stays in the console. I live in a free state so the Krink stays in the under seat storage.

Yep, number one reason for gun theft is weapons left in vehicles.
