    I carry a GP100 with a 6" barrel sometimes. Always strong side.

This isn't necessarily true. I've been CC for 20 years as of the end of Nov. My current nylon belt doesn't feel secure with a large frame pistol, and even with a compact pistol iwb it can feel less than 100% secure. This is with the belt cinched tight but it allows a lot of movement.

I should mention that I don't mess with polymer guns either, so I'm always carrying a steel or alloy gun that weighs more.

Thanks for this. I mostly carry a CZ P01, a compact, alloy frame pistol. It's heavier than a full frame Glock. My thought process is that I may need to use it as a hammer one day... honestly just don't trust polymers long term.

I currently use a nylon belt without a core and my experience is as you mention here.

Ordered a Kore, should know pretty soon how well it works.

For anyone that carries a 'full-size' or other heavy pistol or hardware, one of the best options is a high quality, rigid, leather belt such as this...

Metal frames obviously change things. Holsters with thigh support can help with this. But then you’re getting into silly stuff. Unless you’re “working”.

I’ve had good success with plain nylon and 1.5” leather (also plain). I’m not a huge dude either, so maybe that helps. I guess when I’m cc, I’m trying to avoid the Batman belt look. That’s just me.

That's precisely what I'm trying to avoid. I'm looking for a lighter belt that I can look professional in. I think the Kore belts will do the trick.

I'm not small. 6'2, 255, muscular build. Not thicker in the middle.

It's just such thick leather - doesn't look right in dress pants and a tucked in shirt. My current nylon belt is a bit floppy with heavier guns, and also doesn't look great in dress pants and a tucked in shirt. Trying to find one belt that I can wear 90% of the time, including in professional situations - it has to look nice and be good at holding a gun in place.

    Check out Nexbelts too

I believe they offer some professional looking styles that are reinforced

I have a Nexbelt and it's awesome. Reinforced and has a ratcheting mechanism so you can precisely set how tight it is and easily make it tighter, put your finger on a little lever and the whole thing can get pulled off. It's the first and only carry belt I've bought, but I use it even if I'm not carrying and need a belt since the ratcheting "buckle" is so convenient.

Bought two Kore belts. Easy to set up and size, they are rigid and sturdy and look great as well. Buckles are swappable and they came with a nice closet hanger. For how rigid they are, they are still extremely comfortable. Very happy with this purchase - got two belts (one more tactical/casual looking and one for professional dress) for about $120. Would purchase again and would definitely recommend.

I considered the Nexbelt, but reviews online overwhelmingly said that Kore was more rigid and durable, while Nexbelt had a slightly nicer finish. Effectively the belt end on the Nexbelt is a more refined shape while the end on the Kore is just flat. This is just on the tactical/nylon belts, however, as the Kore leather dress belt I purchased has a nice tapered end.

The Kore is 1mm thicker and noticeably more rigid. It's also double stitched while the Nexbelt is single stitching. Cost is about the same.

From what I read both are good belts but the additional rigidity and durability were the tie breakers for me.

I've been running a NexBelt for appendix pretty consistently now for about 8 months. It's holding up nicely and my appendix rig (TRex Arms Sidecar 2.0) pops on and off nicely. I wish I'd have gotten the small buckle appendix version they offer but otherwise no complaints. I love how rapidly it goes on and adjusts. Would recommend.

Anyone else carrying a Shadow Systems pistol? I swap back and forth between an MR920 and the DR depending on how much clothing I'm wearing. The MR wears an SR0. They both wear a TLR1 HL.

I was looking into pretty much that exact setup but with a G-Code Incog holster. Currently have a 43x I carry daily but with me losing weight soon ill be able to appendix and have a bigger sidearm... How do you like it compared to just getting a g19 mos and having it stippled? Worth the cost?

The Foundation Series Shadow System guns are pretty close in price now with a Gen 5 MOS. In my opinion it's a no-brainer. The optic mount on the Shadow Systems guns alone makes it worth it. They've modified the extractor spring so that you can get long optics mount screws into the slide on their guns. Super low direct mount with no plate. The SRO on that gun co-witnesses the stock irons it came with.

I dig the texture on it and the slide serrations are superior to anything not custom on a Glock. The trigger on my SS guns is not as good as the Gen 5 trigger on my G17 that has a polish job. YMMV.

It's basically most everything I'd want done on a Glock done from the factory with confirmed reliability.

THEY'RE MADE IN TEXAS! Nothing against the Austrians but I'm a Texan and that's that.

    Getcha one!

Out in the pasture I carry a Ruger SP101 revolver .327 Federal Magnum. (yes. It’s a 327. Not a 357). It has a 4.2 inch barrel & is fun to shoot. I mostly scare away the coyotes & skunks & kill rattlers & the rattlers that don’t have rattles (I leave the bull snakes alone). I did change the grip to one that better fits my hand.

Traded my g22 for a Smith and Wesson equalizer. Closest I could find to a sig 365 macro without the $1000 tag. Fits nice with the 15rd mag.
