I took my wife's 38 Taurus out to clean the "injector's" she never runs any through it...it never hiccuped once even with stale/old lead... had a couple boxes that were out of date for my liking.. wheel guns are the tundras of the pew pew world imo ko matter what make or model....

Just picked up this Springfield Hellcat a few months ago. Rotating out my S&W Shield that I’ve carried for years. So far so good, I like carrying it. Even fits in my fat hands lol

I'd love to get a G47. Perhaps CBP will turn in a group of them soon so Glock will sell them off to distributors....

Unfortunately there’s something about the government not selling guns to the public. Maybe some other gun nerd knows that law/rule.

We couldn’t even buy our old H&Ks back.

I imagine the same reasons people supported s&w after they agreed to Clinton's gun regulations

Nice! Any reason why you’re rotating out the Shield? Or just wanted something new?

Wanted to try something new, but also wanted higher mag capacity. They are both 9mm, but the Shield is only 7 rounds. The Hellcat is a double stack with 12+1 rounds, and yet somehow doesn’t seem quite as bulky as the Shield. I like the Shield and definitely plan to keep it, it’s a great carry weapon, but this one feels like an upgrade.

I’ve actually still been carrying the Shield because I need to spend some more time on the range with the Hellcat. I won’t carry it until I am 100% familiar with it. A few hundred more rounds should do the trick. Looking forward to getting used to it.

I hear you. I actually just got a Shield Plus. It’s my first Shield (and first sub-compact), so I’m trying to familiarize myself with it. I’ve gotten about 250 rounds of various brands through it without a hiccup. Still want to put more rounds through it before I add it to my carry rotation. Currently carry a 1911 and an older, 3rd gen S&W 3913.

Your Hellcat looks nice, though! I may add one later on in the future.

Here’s a pic of mine with the Shield Plus for reference.

Glock 43, not as concealable as the LCP 380 I used to carry but the 43 feels better in the hand and shares 9mm most of my others use.
Former deputy, my favorite duty weapon was a Sig, Blackwater Tactical. 20 rd mags. Yeah it had some weight but all the other crap on my duty belt was heavy too. Great shooting gun.

Oof, a true Colt 1911. That’s beautiful. I have a Remington 1911 that I bought to save money, and it jams constantly with all types of ammo. Nothing against Remington, they make a lot of great things, but for the 1911 I should have just waited and saved up for a Colt or Browning.

I love those old style S&Ws. My mom had one like that when I was a kid. Looks like a great carry option.

Yeah, the Colt is nice! The grip safety rattles a bit, though, but it’s more accurate than I am. I actually got a great deal on it a few years ago (pre-pandemic). I also have a Springfield Mil-Spec Defender Series 1911 (same as their regular Mil-Spec, but in a cardboard box and different grips I believe). I also got it at a great price pre-pandemic for a little over $500. Don’t know what they’re going for now, but they’re US made with forged frame and slide. I have close to 1000 rounds through it without a hitch. Great buy for a 1911.

The older S&W 3913 is a sweet gun, but they stopped making OE mags for them. It’s a DA/SA trigger, so I don’t shoot it quite as well as the 1911 and Shield Plus, but that’s due more to not having practiced as much with it.

Recently moved from a P938 to a P365, I feel the 365 is a little more concealable than the 938, but not by a lot.

Sig P938, IWB Tulster holster, with a blue alpha gear belt is my go to. Usually a Leatherman too. I wish I was comfortable carrying my cz p10c because I REALLY enjoy how that shoots and the capacity but I just haven't found a comfortable/easily concealed way that I LIKE to carry it. The P938 I'm comfortable wearing all the time.
