Well, to be honest I’m not going back. I know Whataburger is supposed to be “amazing”, but I’ve had better and didn’t even finish my burger and tossed it. Had chips and homemade salsa instead.

Maybe it’s due to being so new? Not sure.

Maybe I’ll try some of those. However, right across the street is a Slim Chickens that’s pretty damn good.

Whataburger is overrated. Only good thing is the patty melt and honey bbq sandwich. I'd take a five guys or in n out over it any day.

I really hoped this burger was life changing…and it just wasn’t. I’ve had better at Culver’s, 5 guys, and Smashburger. It was dry, not a lot of flavor, and the fries were hard.

I would put Whataburger in line with any other fast food burger chain like Wendy’s or Burger King.

I've never been a fan but I do enjoy their breakfast taquitos (go figure). However, our nearest location is the one that had a rat jump in the fryer so I ain't ever going there.

If McDonald’s is the bar, then whataburger, Culver’s, in and out are all where they should be. Loved by the locals as a better burger. Not a great burger really. I always loved a Griff’s burger from my youth in Louisiana. Just a good greasy lunch sack burger with fries. None of them are gonna be a Five guys or a David’s burger. But they’re good for what they are.

We just have way too many burger restaurants that are top notch to visit a fast food joint.

    Crave real burger
    Border burger bar
    Teds Montana Grill

And many more. Hell, I’ll even take a Red Robin 5Alarm burger.

Unlike the onion rings they had sitting next to the fryer. The really telling thing is the poor rat couldn't find anything edible to eat.

I’ve never worked in a WB, but to me having the fryers right behind the cashier(is what it looks like) makes no sense to me from a flow aspect. Let alone that customers are in plain view of any nasties that may jump into cooking units…..

I'm thinking the original design plan was made with the idea that the stores would have some kind of active pest control.
