HA I know that shit drives me crazy. Even when roofers or concrete guys throw their vapor barrier on with the words not reading in left to right order . Call me crazy, I know it's going to get covered. But take pride in anything and everything!

Back in the day lowes used to have their version (or as i believe, it was just rebadged for them) and i had a rocky relationship with them.
I used to be an independent contractor/installer for them for quite a few years. Finally i came to the conclusion that they were really good at finding ways to make me pay out for things they were responsible for. Hell, i had even won their installer of the year award for the east texas and Louisiana regions.

So when they decided i was responsible for $3500 worth of windows they mis ordered (they literally didnt order a single window size i submitted) i gave them the finger. All this was while i was still buying $100,000 to $250,000 a year on materials threw them for my remodeling business.

So one day my over paid employees put the lowes branded tyvex on upside down. I found it pretty hilarious and decided that was our new company practice.

The home owners actually thought it was hilarious also so it was all good. Lol

Im doing a two story addition project for some clients of mine. I designed this steel cantilevered stair system. I had pieces of I-beam angle cut for each stair tread. I wanted the landing to have the bevels to match each side of the treads. All the steel was welded on site. Each stair tread will be made out of 2” thick white mahogany. I’m having each tread routered out on the bottom to recess an led light to lights the steps. The wood treads will 1/2” away from the Sheetrock. The railings will be steel post with a white mahogany cap and post tension stainless steel cables. It’s going to be a show piece of the addition project. I love doing unique and creative projects like this!

Yeah man, those stairs sound like they are going to be pretty impressive.

Definitely looking forward to seeing a pic of them completed.

@1UPPER does some amazing design, building, and finish work. One of my friends are on his level of craftsmanship and they are becoming harder to find.

I have always wondered if he has a slide show of projects, like a portfolio of past completed jobs.

Thank you very much for the complements! I’m very blessed to have a passion for what I do. I don’t advertise or market for work. All my work is referral based.

I do have a lot of work photos. I have them on my iPad to show clients before, during and after photos.

Another 100 hour week, expectations are always too high. We get 8 days to do a months work. I will try to take more craft vids on the next one. We have up to 6 cranes 40 painters 80 fitter/ welders ( my craft the best in the west) go go go get the fuck out of my way. Equipment that I rented on this one job was 8 50' scissor lifts, 8 45 foot JLGS painters probably had 10 JLGS up to 150'. Plus the pipe fitters, machinists so on. Chaos.

I’m very excited for my next horse barn project! I’ll be building everything from the ground up. It’s just under 16,000 square ft. There will be 20 horse stalls, three tack rooms, multiple wash bays, grooming bays, feed room, hay room, kitchen, multiple restrooms, two offices, Ferrier area, lounge area and a few more spaces. 3476B989-55A1-46F8-A976-926A0F8C1209.jpg
