The Contura G2 is up and running! Hired an operator programmer. Zeiss rep came out and re-calibrated the CMM to +/- 1.8 micron uncertainty. I'm going to get some training on this machine shortly.

I just checked out your website and saw the build for lilbit. Very Cool. I have family in the springs that live off of powers and will pass this on as they love coffee. Congrats on making the dream happen!

    Awesome!

We keep wanting to check out the race. Won't work it because it is too early and expensive.

It's a lot of fun and a lot of work. Hopefully it can make us some money some day. There are many mobile coffee trucks out there. They're becoming more popular because they are cheaper than brick and mortar. Maybe one will pop up in Chicago soon. :)

Check out prior posts here. It's all explained. Yes there is a joy stick. That joystick used is 5 grand. That whole setup used and in compliance is $250K.

    I kid you not.

Wifi bread maker, the dude wanted to fire up his app on his iphone and kick off the bread maker so he would have fresh bread when he got to work. We had to segment the network and get it off our corp network so it could get around the firewalls and into this stupid cloud of bread makers. By god, we did it. :benchpress:

I'm 62 and thought I'd heard of the craziest work place issues. Prior to this was the "a bull moose is sitting behind my car and he won't move even though I'm throwing things at him so I'm going to be late for work". Actually believable if you ever lived in AK.

Construction, mainly residential remodeling. Sometimes i get to work on something pretty interesting.

This project i got to work on was one of those times. This project was for the T.V. show "The Tree House Masters".

That was pretty cool but a real rarity. Im normally tearing up someones house while they are having a panic attack telling them "trust me, i dropped out of college to become a construction worker". Then i go home and enjoy the fact that i have a huge front yard that never has to me mowedIMG_20180621_203647.jpg

I've been retired for 4 years. I had a career as a locomotive engineer then I developed a business to promote, manufacture, and install my patented use of Dopler radar motion detection to activate railroad crossing warning systems. Sold business and retired at age 53.

Ill have to double check the spelling.
    Camp Cho Yeh
    Lake Livingston, Texas.

I never saw them filming anything though. I had a couple active job sites that i had to split my time between. But some of the other guys who where employed/contracted through the same guy did get pictures with the host of the show.

We (the main contractor's crew and mine) had been doing tons of other work for the camp when the Tree house build happen to start so we got to pickup a lot of odds and ends and such.

That was a fun place as far as work goes.

    Edit:
Googling "camp cho yeh treehouse masters" pops up links about the "Treehouse Masters" involvement but on youtube they only have video on the sections done by a tree house company that did all the jungle gym high wire crazy stuff. Im not sure if they work with the TV show regularly or if it is just how it worked out.
