Sweet! I work for a repair/overhaul/OEM aerospace company, and Frontier is one of my customers. We do overhead bin, sidewall panel, galley cart, etc. repair and refurbs for them. We have 87 other companies in our organization, that cover ever single part of Frontier's planes. Fan cowls, wing slats, pneumatics, fuel pumps, actuation systems, composites, flight control, nacelle parts, everything.

This week was night work. Tracing old cabling for an up-coming public address/ lock-down system in an elementary school.
Been working nights off and on for a couple of months now and I am really starting to respect those of you that do this on a regular basis. Its not fun swapping days to nights and then back again.
This building has about 7 different "phases" that were built beginning in the 60s and on to the late 80s. Quite interesting running into the craftsmanship that was and is how we construct buildings. Except for the asbestos. That shit is a nightmare.

Right now I deal mostly in corporate sales for a local distributor of Konica Minolta and KIP office equipment.

Problem is I don’t really have the outgoing personality of a sales person and I literally hate what I do.

Currently looking for an escape, but my area is lacking in real jobs that pay what I want to make. This has made me start looking at business ventures that I can start on my own, just haven’t had any breakthrough ideas yet.

Wow. Retiring at 36 is impressive. Pretty much unheard of. Would love to know what type of investments you guys have. My wife and I invest heavily, make good money, and I have a pension, and there's no way I will be able to retire before 50.

    Hats off to you guys.

Honestly I got lucky. Had my kids young so I never had to take off work to have babies. Lived pretty simply through the years. Bought a fixer upper at 21 and did all the work myself. So that saved a ton. Hunted, canned so that saved a ton too. Just a simple life. Worked lots of hours. Loved my job, my life. Lots of good luck came my way.

I don't only calibrate high frquency RF/Microwave test equipment. Pictured is a custom resistor plate sent in from an international customer whom I won't mention. The highest resistor on this plate is 750 Ohms. Not a big deal to measure. The three current shunts are 1,2, 5 mOhm. That low of resistance can get dicey if you need to make precise 4 wire resistance measurements. I'm using a Keysight/ Hewlett Packard 33420A nano volt/micro ohm meter. The 33420A has resolution of 1 nano Ohm (1 billionth Ohm). Not bad.....:infantry:
I make the labels with the measured values for the customer to program into their test procedures.

18 years as a plumber. Last 3 1/2 at my local school district. I got tired of the grind and wanted to start working towards a pension and have a decent retirement while I’m still youngish.

I almost started my own business. I was going to take over my last employer’s company for $80,000. It would’ve come with 1000 clients all local within my city. But I witnessed him have a heart attack after having two prior to me working for him. I also didn’t like the fact that you could never not answer the phone without risking losing that job. So I took a job with decent pay. I get off every day at 3 PM and I’m able to attend all of my daughters school functions. I love having that time with my family now. Don’t forget paid vacation and sick. At the moment I get 24 days off a year plus holidays. And it goes up every five years.

I love money but it ain’t everything. I’ve noticed the connection with my family has gotten much stronger. We are closer than we have ever been.
