Welcome to the forum OP. As you have seen, there are a lot of different personalities on this forum and we all have fun with each other.

Just FYI, those Harbor Freight jackstands you mentioned in original post might be defective since most had recalls due to failures. I wouldn't want the cheap Toyota jack to collapse along with jackstands too.

Although I'm only 29. I grew up with my mom driving a '56 bel air from the time I was born till I was 15. Hand signals were all she used so thankfully I know how to use to them and to watch out for people that do, because I see it at least once a month. Most kids these days have no clue

I don't think I've ever seen anyone using hand signals while driving. It can't be that complicated, though. No one in Louisiana has ever ridden a bike?

I had to check my jackstands after the recall. Thank God they weren't included. I haven't gotten a bad tool from harbor freight yet. My favorite purchase thus far has been the pole saw they carry. Its a beast and has cut down a many a tree without any issues. I have the daytona 3 ton low pro jack and the 5 drawer tech cart. Its awesome!

There are ALOT of junker cars and trucks around here with no signals, so it's common. Where I'm at no one really rides bikes. Maybe a couple Harleys or something. They just do what they want lol

I was thinking bicycles. When I was a kid, we had to learn hand signals before riding on the road.

Really? Never heard of that. Geowing up in the country we just rode our bikes on trails or in the woods so thats probably why

Yep, they have some great stuff, I also have same Daytona jack. I hated taking recalled jackstands back. I'm gonna have to check out the polesaw.

I have some relatives who use hand signals exclusively. But not the ones anyone is taught to use. :D

I think you misunderstood what I was saying , I agree with you .
I was backing out of a parking space once ( I usually back in ) I just put the bumper out when the BSM / RCPD started beeping at me so I stopped and a little kid ran behind the truck . From that moment on I don’t want to be without it . Things can happen even when you’re being careful.

I just picked up the pole saw from HF for a buddy. We used it over the weekend. Not bad and does the job. the bar is short but if you're doing just small branches, then it's perfect.

It would be nice to have the audible alerts with the BSM and the ability to turn it off, but i'm not losing sleep over not having it.
