Never needed a truck until I moved to CO, so I got a Taco at first

Independent, Gullwing, Venture, Tracker, Thunder, Titan, Webb, Grind King and Krux. I've tried just about every kind of trucks.

    Within the last 10 years....
    2002 F250, 7.3, 4x4, fairly stock.
    1999 4runner, Limited, 4x4, built.
    2006 Xrunner.
    2006 Ridgeline.

To this day my Ridgeline was still my favorite vehicle. It just can't haul or pull what I need to now. The only one I have pics of is the F250, my most recent.

Will miss the F250 but love my 19 Limited CM. I feel better knowing others have come from 3/4 & 1 Ton trucks. My wife has a ‘12 Sequoia and the 5.7 power train is the smoothest I have ever driven and always in the right gear. That is why I chose Tundra

Lol... I think Bennett where the first "trucks" I owned. There one with the base plate that broke if you looked at them wrong.

My high school after school "career" ('76-'79) was working at Skateboard City in Sacramento. It was a great job.

2004 Silverado 2wd. Bought it with 38k miles. Replaced the starter and the instrument cluster. It did strange electrical things. Sometimes the high beam indicator light would come on on the dash when the truck was off. Ac did weird things. 5.3 developed lifter knock at 100k. It got worse and worse so I traded it off at 140k. Truck did a lot for me but I haven't looked back since I picked up my Limited.

I had a 1987 F150 regular cab 351 H.O. With Eldebrock intake and Holley double pumper. That thing was a beast but sucked the gas. Cranked it up to 100 on IH and I could watch the gas gauge move. Best thing was dual tanks. Lots of torque in that motor and I swear the HP was under rated.

since this was titled trucks i'll list just those.
no pics of my first truck, an 83 f100. hated it. massive pile of crap
but traded it in on an 83 datsun 4x4
    2nd and main.jpg
no trucks for a while after i wrecked the datsun until i bought this 84 chevy84 chev.jpg
liked it, but needed money so it went away, but when i had time i bought this gmc
    gmc2.jpg
after many years, i parted it out to build one of my fj40s (the one in the background of this photo), but later bought this dodge at an auction for $800 so i could tow home some fj45s
    didge3.jpg
here i am towing one of the fj45 pickups home
    45s.jpg
and the fj45 in the background above i still own. someday, i'll finish it.
    45 and dirt bike.jpg
a coworkers neighbor was selling this mini, but i really didn't need a truck as i already had six land cruisers. eventually he won out and i bought clampy for $300 with a blown tranny and loved it! still miss clampy!
    DSC00620.jpg
unfortunately, a few years later, i was in charge of building a raffle rig so i had to trade clampy in for something that could tow. i found this 95 powerchoke...got rid of it shortly after the raffle was done because, in true ford fashion, i was spending way too much time fixing it.
    ford2.jpg
now i've got what i hope will be my lifelong truck (and raffle rig tow vehicle :( )
    20180602_140534.jpg
i started driving in a 71 fiat spider, drove an 84 pontiac grand am for a while. then the ford, an 83 honda prelude, and the datsun, before getting into the land cruiser world. first was a 71 fj40, followed by a 78 f40 and a 69 fj55. since then, i've also had 73, 74, 77, another 77, 68, 65 and still have a 62 fj40. ive had an 83 fj60 and an 88 fj62. for fj55s, i've owned 71, 75, 76 and 2 78s and still have a 74 fj55. i curently still have the powertrain and frame of my original 95 fzj80 and i've built a 96 to replace it. toss in a 96 lexus 450 and an 87 4runner that i just blew up last year and got rid of (puff the evil wagon). as you can see i've also had a couple motorcycles. i stated out on a kawi ex (pre ninja), had a yami dirtbike (in the back of one of the fj45s) and i still have a harley rat rod (that i really should sell). i think that may be all.

Owned nothing but GM products my whole life, entire family history was GM. Had trouble with all of them, don't know why I stayed loyal so long. Bought 2010 Tundra at 50 years old and traded that in back in October with 178,000 miles and no issues. If this truck is as good as the last I will be extremely happy. Go Toyota

    94 Toyota pickup. 4x4, 22RE 4cyl, 5spd. Wish I still had it.

2011 GMC Sierra. Great truck. No idea what I was thinking when I traded it in on..

2013 Ford *spit* F150. Steaming pile of shit. That truck, multiple Ford dealerships and Ford corporate proved to me that they build garbage and that lack of integrity is part of their corporate mandate and they don't hire honest people.

Now have my 2005 Tundra. Love it. Never leaving Toyota again.

In there at some point The Woman had a 2009 Ram 1500. Meh. Uncomfortable, lousy handling and pig on fuel. More reliable than the Ford *spit* though..

Mine was a 4Runner (body on frame). But before that was my FJ Cruiser, and before that, my FJ40 (real landcruiser). Kinda stuck on Toyotas.

you mean stuck on quality, right? ;) except for my 87 4runner, all my toyotas have been great! all my fords have been nightmares. my honda was ok, my grand am sucked. and the fiat...it actually did not live up to the "fix it again tony" moniker

2002 Ford F-150 4.6 Triton V8. Sold in 2018 with only 104,000 miles. Excellent shape, but $1,500+ in engine repairs, in 3 months, and still not fixed -- I put it to the curb. It got 18mpg. Tundra SR-5 5.7 V8 has 100 more horsepower. Way more legroom in back with Tundra. All the benefits of my Tundra and getting 17.2 mpg. I'm very satisfied.

97 Chevy S10 extended cab 4.3l 4WD. Loved that truck until I blew out the rear end. Popped the differential on the highway. Good times.

    I had an 08 Ram 1500 with the 4.7L
    I then ended up with a leftover 10 2500 Hemi 4x4
    2013 Ram 1500 Hemi
Now my 18 Tundra which I think tows way better than the above. All above were good trucks to me though.

I didn't take pictures of my old trucks, didn't think of it back then but I did get a parting shot of my ol' 15 year old GMC day before I put'er out to pasture. I had already taken the ubiquitous tool box off the back. I held on to it about 2 years longer than I should have.
