Steve used and recommended the Tuf shine tire cleaner and coating, he liked it a lot..sounds very similar to Optimum.

I've used....as well as Griots Undercarriage spray.....both very oily and both attract dust very quickly. That being said, if you have plastic fender liners, they look awesome when you apply it. I've switched to Stoners Trim Shine in the aerosol cans....easier to apply...lasts about as long

I saw a video and the guy was saying it dried quickly and rubbed his hand across it, then showed it to the camera showing nothing came off....but...his hand went off screen for a moment making me skeptical.

Those ads are comical...anything oil based does not dry that quickly

I’m not big on the shiny wet look, rather a clean “new” look - I use Optimum products to clean, then use Chemical Guys Silk Shine Dressing.

They can try to be slick. He only had me questioning it cuz it's an undercarriage coating and said I'm not familiar with it being I live 45 minutes from Gulf of Mexico lol.

No soap yet, have 1/2 bottle of McGuire’s Gold sitting in the garage. What are some good options? I don’t have a power washer, so just using a hose and bucket at this point.

@Acaps I'm personally a fan of the Meguiar's Ultimate line, including their wash soap. It's the bright yellow one. Can get it almost anywhere, works well, and fairly affordable. Been using it for years!

If you're looking purely at locally available soaps, give the Jay Leno's vehicle wash a try. It's typically available at Autozone, and I've seen it in some NAPA stores. Very slick, foams and cleans well.

Here is the Tuf Shine before and after a quick wash using only mr pink and flag brush. It was applied 3 months ago and havent washed for a few weeks. Not shiny but rubber just looks fresh like a new tire and keeps browning at bay.

Whatever dressing you use, make sure you clean the tire really well. New tires go through "blooming" and need to be cleaned too. I'm a big fan of Adam's Tire and Rubber Cleaner. You'd be amazed the shit that comes off.

Car wash soap and water first. If that doesn’t work, Adam’s wheel cleaner says it’s safe on painted wheels. I’ve used it on Methods with no issues.
