Flat head screwdriver works just as well.

It might work, but why suggest something when the exact tool this fastener was meant for is easily available?

@Ron_Pro do you have the right tool easily available?

So I just realized I had a T30 stashed deep in my tool box. It’s a tad smaller, but I was able to make it work. I didn’t try the screwdriver method since I was able to get it off with the T30. I’m sure the screwdriver method would have worked as well. I was just lucky to find that T30.

I appreciate everyone’s responses. Thank you.

The best part of this thread: the correct tool is a T40. (T30 is for the taillight bolts).

When I got my Line x sprayed they took them off and sprayed the area but I had to take them back off to paint them black as they looked bad left white. Looks better now.

I agree. T40 would be the correct size, since the T30 was a tad smaller. However, the T30 worked and I was able to get it off just fine. Thanks!

It was a guess hahaha. Couldn't remember. Had to do it with total chaos bed stiffeners. That was a while ago

Had to do this because I tried using a t30 instead of the t40 and stripped the bolt in the process.
