You'll need a Traxxas 2wd or 4wd slash, the proline adjustable body mounts and a proline TRD PRO body. It's battery operated.

My son saved up for quite a long time and just purchased a TRX-4 Bronco from Traxxas. We had quite a bit of fun with it for about a week. Then the gears in the steering servo stripped. They are sending me new gears to rebuild it, but was a little disappointed. I have never really been into RC cars, but I must admit that this little crawler is fun.traxxas.jpg

eBay almost always has the best prices! The reputable vendors offer free shipping and no tax. I’ve purchased accessories like batteries from Amazon as well. Recently bought a few things from proline.

If I was going to buy for a 7 year old I’d probably go with 1/16 scale ERevo. They run about $300 ish. If you’re just getting into RC you’ll have to invest in batteries and a good charger which can add about another $200. I recently purchased a Traxass Slash 4x4 from an eBay store to put the Tundra body on. Prolineracing.com has the Tundra body and some sweet wheels and tires if you’re looking for something specific. My truck will run BFG K02 just like my actual Tundra :)

Had a frog in 83. Bought my son one in 05, helped him build it. He had as much fun with his as I did as a kid. Funny, now it’s in a box in my garage. Got him a gas one a few years later. In same box in garage.
One of these days he’ll get them to his house, along w all the LEGO’s.
That or his kids (near future probably) will play with them someday.

The most important thing ur going to need is 1k.
The traxxas, the body the battery the charger the faster u want to go the more expenaive the battery is. Theirs a ton of stuff u can change. From lifting it to different tires rims coilovers and so on

If I want to build a "rock crawler" is that just a not-as-fast battery then? (I'm not kidding; my experiences with RC's is that if they're "supercharged" they can get out of control quick. No bueno at these price$.)

Yea i believe dont know much about these things but from what i have read certain batteries give the car more juice and they are more expensive.

This truck i bought is all decked out with upgraded suspension and some other things. Like i said i never got involved in this but figure id try a new hobby especially if i could build a mini tundy lol

Once i get it ill take pics. I know it says 60+ mph that is insane for a battery powered vehicle. The guy i bought from said i need the pro line body mounts and i should be good.

At one point I had over ten RC cars and trucks, several boats, drones, helicopters and planes. My favorite RCs were my Losi 5ive-t gas trucks. The Monster truck was a beast with 8 1/4 HP! F1B70372-0FA5-483D-9FFA-697D4F4E0993.jpg
