    Yes, yes, it is LOL.
I showed the wife....she was like “oh yeah, I’d definitely drive that”.
I said - “sweet! It’s only $100K!” Lol! She said we could buy 3 brand new 4runners for that :D

Love seeing this. I still have my B6 A4 and honestly can’t find ways to part with it. Between the tune and my current setup the car always makes it so fun to drive. My wife thinks otherwise.

I've been drooling over this as well. Just wish it wasn't so damned expensive! :annoyed: As freaking sexy as that thing is, I have a hard time justifying spending that much good money on an Audi.

OP, noticed you were in California. ECS is a great parts distributor but I also found GAP (Genuineaudiparts) to be great too and they are located in CA. ECS always had a greater selection but for parts I needed sooner GAP was good too.

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into GAP. I used to go through ECS all the time but I've found better customer service from Urotuning. They don't have quite the variety but mostly the same stuff.

I wish I could support Pelican Parts, they have really good tech articles and detailed DIY articles on their site. That's genius, but they're a hair more expensive than ECS or Urotuning.

Up next is steering pump, fuel filter, transmission fluid and if it ever gets here a very nice discrete intercooler.

My wife just got a 2014 a5. It terrifies me. This is her forth Audi. She loves them. Luckily she has a Lexus gx 460 to drive.

Just wait for someone else to drop the coin and roll it off the lot. It will drop $30-$40K after 10K miles and 1 year lol.

Check out what Volvo has done for half the price.

    It's turbocharged.

    And supercharged.

    And a hybrid.

    Not kidding.

Ehhhhhh Volvo. Just can’t do it lol. Even my Lexus has adjustable shocks from inside the cab and it’s $10K less than the Volvo where you have to jack up the rear? Lol.
And the Volvo is a lot slower than the Audi. Completely different animals.
If I was in the $70ish range I’d rather have the much more beautiful Audi S7 for $10K more than the Volvo, and outperform the shit out of it by a full second 0-60 and 1.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. That’s a huge difference.

eta - never mind, those were RS7 numbers. The S7 numbers are 1/2 second quicker on each.
Still don’t think I could go 4Cyl Volvo lol.

Lol, jacking up the rear for adjustments left me going o_O too. It's nothing I'd buy either simply because of the complex craziness going on under the hood, but I do like the styling of it at least lol.

It’s always good to see competition moving the ball forward! Especially if the pricing is lower lol.

I'd just love to have the bragging rights when somebody asks. It's got electric motors. It's got a turbo. It's got a supercharger.

Ordered a fuel filter, a new steering pump, pressure line and pressure sensor. Was expecting a ZF Bosch rebuild pump but opened the box to find a pump made by AAE instead. The ZF Bosch are assembled in Hungary and the AAE is Chinese with an American distributor, sending that thing back.

Ordered a pump elsewhere, good thing because the pressure line didn't come with new copper washers. I put those and new pulley bolts on the order as well.

Still waiting on the intercooler too, I'll have to spend a whole day on this car. Maybe the weekend after this one.

I don't mind those days, part of the fun with mods is the install.

I'm thinking steering pump job with a flush, fuel filter, serp belt, intercooler with piping, trans fluid, maybe adjust shifter and drink a 6 pack is a solid Saturday. I can reward myself with a drive through Mulholland to Malibu the next day to appreciate the car with my fingers crossed.

In another 2 months I'll do the dreaded timing belt and water pump job and upgrade motor mounts while I'm at it. I also have an aluminum coolant fitting, new thermostat and 2 gallons of new coolant to go in. Then I'll be done worrying about maintenance for a long time. Then it will be downpipe and new tune and no more throwing money in this hole... maybe. :D

Size 11 shoe for size comparison. This is a double size side mount to go in stock location where the smog guy will never see it. I prefer this over a front mount not just for sneaky points but much less piping to pressurize, that should prevent a loss of throttle response. The company who makes these did testing and they go toe to toe against front mounts, both absolutely embarrass the stock intercooler.

agreed...112K is crazy but 591HP with just under 600 ft/lbs of torque might make it slightly easier to justify!! Off the line with AWD probably feels like you're in a fighter jet.

I’ve joy-rided the Audi R8 V10 Spyder (The Lambo engine).
It absolutely ruined me for life. It’s totally unbelievable going from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 0-100mph in 6.5 seconds lol. Coupled with the sound of the engine directly behind your head, is smiles all day long. Not really sure why they even put a radio in them. I drove the shit out of it, and I’m still smiling a few years later. Lol

California- shouldn't come as a surprise, we believe horsepower causes cancer here.

I did a lot of reading and the answer is no, at least not swapping a side mount for a front mount. You can't even swap the stock rubber piping for silicone here. If your smog guy doesn't notice or looks the other way then you're fine. I'm not looking to risk that, plus I dont want the mess of piping everywhere that most front mounts have. All the performance mods on this car are hard to spot and I'm keeping it that way.

You could also paint the IC using some black radiator paint to make it that much more stealthy. SMOG law aside, there’s not wrong with the sleeper look.

Yeah I've been considering painting the end caps black, both for added stealth and increase the temperature exchange.

Sending the steering pump back to Urotuning tomorrow, the one where I ordered a Bosch and was sent a AAE. I ordered a different one from ECS two days ago. Got home from work excited to see a box on my porch...

Looks like it's been installed before...
