Listening to my tundras trd exhaust when I get on it. It always puts a smile on my face. And spending time hunting in the woods. I usually get so relaxed that I have a hard time keeping my eyes open. And camping. CEEAEAD8-55E0-466E-B329-3E9A364F5575.jpg

I have 3 nephews who live in Norway, my wife and I are going to visit them in April. We asked then what kind of clothes they want as a gift. They said carnhartt, I told them thats expensive, how about Dickies? They immediately said yes! "We like Dickies but we can't get them in Norway!"

I've never been so proud of them.

Getting pulled into someone else's problem. Seeing there's 5 other people on the call and solving the issue in 5 minutes of basic troubleshooting. What the hell were y'all doing for 3 hours?

Going to a tire shop and expecting to wait around for over an hour. Then 30 minutes after arriving hearing "your car is ready".

We had one like that around here. I asked the guy who owned it if he used to work for Richard Petty or something, he crew worked it like a pit crew. Instead of one guy doing 4 wheels, he had 4 guys doing one each. I was out in 10 minutes.

Yup, I used to go to a shop like that, they were unbeatable on prices too. Four guys would attack your car with floor jacks at the same time and roll the tires to the bead rolling guys. They were almost in unison sometimes.

This time around I went to a Discount Tire shop and they had 2 guys working in my car. I have had pretty good experiences with them.

I'm shopping tires for the Venza now. I think Costco is winning. Sadly the pit crew guy sold out and the jackass who bought it is a crook.

Unsettling fragile, egotistical engineers with mild humor.

Pretty sure I'm on his ignore list, but knowing I made him go apoplectic and essentially rage quit pleases me. I'm a petty ass after a 12 hour shift sometimes. :)

A lot of “engineers” don’t deserve that title.

It’s kind of like the “doctor” title, your general practice Dr and brain surgeon are worlds apart in terms of skill set but they get the same umbrella title applied by the average person.

Our office just officially announced no more mask mandates, and removed all of the "sit here", "stand here", etc. distancing stickers from every common space/break room/meeting room. Feels somewhat normal for the first time in 2 years!

Ripping those distance markers off the floor was oddly satisfying. What they did to the floors after 2 years was not, but im just a janitor, floor care is not my problem :p

In Wyoming, we really struggled with the 6-foot social distance rule. Prior to 2020, we didn’t normally stand that close to each other.

The things that people in my neighborhood throw away

Might mount them on my wall. Might sell them for $100. Might see if they can adjust to fit my wifes boots and let her try them. Older for sure, but in great shape from what I can see. Bottoms don't show much wear, the metal edges just need the rust filed off.
