Check out the app, "Mark the Spot." It's an AT&T app that lets you report poor or not coverage in areas. They really do respond to the input. Of course if it means a new tower needs to be added it will take awhile - possibly 1-3 years. But they notify you when it's done. I used the app in Port Arthur, TX in 2010 where there was practically NO AT&T coverage. I haven't been back in years but I remember getting a notice from AT&T that new towers had been constructed there. It was a couple of years later but I was impressed, nonetheless.

It does not make me angry, per se. It is more like “wonder” moments that remind me of how (when I was learning and acquiring my second language, English) “native English speakers” would always be on me and my family ‘to speak and write English “good”...!

While there are many, this one had been causing me a “wonder” right now!

    grille vs grill

    ...

For clarification, are you confused about the differences the spellings mean (I doubt it, as you are better with English and grammar than 80% of the native speakers I meet), or are you commenting on how native English speakers don't seem to know the difference in the spellings?

Yes, it would be commenting on how native English speakers don't seem to know the difference in the spellings.

For example; Hey Adam, the grille on your truck is color matched like mine!

Kinda what I figured. I understand typing/writing things to convey they way they are said (see the first word of this comment), and I understand spelling errors as well. Homonyms or Homophones make English difficult, and most don't feel it's worth the effort so long as their point is conveyed.

The fact that on my iPhone, the “go to first unread” button doesn’t show up on these super long threads and i have to scroll to try and remember where I left off.

and no, I don’t like tapatalk.

The English language seems to be coming full circle. For several decades we had standards on how to spell words, proper use of words, including homonyms and homophones. Now we seem to be headed back to the days of Shakespeare, when spelling really didn't matter if it sounded correct when read aloud.

The kids these days don't have the attention span to read a word with more than two syllables or a sentence longer than 3 words...

On my Android, I just click on the name of a thread and it takes me to my first unread post. It's the GM Trucks forum that can't figure that out, though they do put a nice big line at the start of the new posts so you can scroll there quickly.

If i just click a message i think it does the same. But often I’m hitting the links in the alerts list and like to open in a new “tab” (using chrome for ios). It looks like it opens to the last unread post, but then when it finishes loading it pops to the top of the page.

on my ipad, it works perfectly and i get the “go to unread” button.

Very strange. I don't have that issue in Chrome on my phone. Time to ditch Apple.

Used to be die hard Android and huge into modded ROMs. The older I get, the more I just want shit to work without having to troubleshoot all the time (which was always an issue with rooted ROMs). My kids wanted iphones to be able to share with the friends easier, and then my company moved to ios exclusively for mobile devices. At that point, it was just easier to become assimilated so I could provide the support the rest of my family needed (including parents and MIL).

and don’t get me started on how long it takes Samsung to release an update to the current OS (if they do at all after the phone is a year old). At least with crapple, they’re still pushing current OS to phones that are coming up on 6yrs old.

TDS Telecom and their backwoods shit-heap internet service. I am pretty sure I can get better bandwidth using smoke signals and some dental floss with tin cans on either end. I had faster internet in college on dial-up. And, of course, my only alternatives are HughesNet or some other satellite internet service. Cell reception at my place is lucky to get a single bar of 3G, even with my huge expensive WeBoost setup.

I’m sure this has been posted, but I hate tailgaters. I will slow down to a crawl when someone tailgates me (even on the freeway). They stop after a quick minute.

I need to get a bumper sticker that reads “The closer you get the slower I go!”

Gonna change direction to avoid getting a 30-day ban... I hate haggling with dealer service depts. over what’s covered on a “bumper to bumper” warranty.

What REALLY gets me angry is how much actual, verifiable science, backed by actual peer-reviewed research, is IGNORED by today's political and cultural climate, even when saying their argument is based on science!

Trying to learn another language and quitting after a month because I lose motivation. Not sure how many times I've started to learn Spanish and tried to relearn German. I took German in high school for 3 years and I could probably count on one hand how many words I remember.. I've also been dying to learn French but I just know I'll start it and give up :annoyed:
