Cool! I loved going to the field and through stuff that none of our trucks would ever make it through! Gunnery was fun, too, but my favorite was the mudding. Not so much the cleanup afterwards!

And thank you for yours! Only had to fix a broken track once - when we let the XO of the company drive!

When I served, I was stuck on watch, but couldn't get a lunch break to save my life, but when I asked for a smoke break 15 MF would show up and had to rock paper scissors for it...

He was a good enough guy, just too much of a screw up for an officer. I saw him years later, when he had like 20 years in, and he was only a major. Actually that was probably impressive for him because I'm sure he lost a rank for some screwup along the way!

When people say "I take total responsibility" and there are no ramifications for what they have done.

Agreed; in today's day and age I'm increasingly convinced that the vast majority of people say 'I take full/total responsibility' *BECAUSE* they know there will be few to no ramifications for what they've done.

Every year when a news story comes up saying drugs found in some kids Halloween bag.

Just saw a teaser that vallium, oxycontin, and percocet were found in a kids bag. Who the hell would spend that much money to throw some drugs away? Add to that, it isn't Halloween yet so who planned that?

I think 99.9% of these are hoax.

Doesn't really make me angry but more confused. Why do people spend thousands on new wheels an tires but don't spend an extra 150 bucks for new TPMS to go with them? See it all the time on used stockers. If I am in the market for a cheap backup set of stockers I'm not going to want to pay for them to be remounted an TPMS added.. Just doesn't make sense to me...Spend all that money but cheap out on TPMS...

I can semi-understand this. When we moved to AR in 2003, a conversation with a local went like this:

    Local: "So where ya from?"
Me: "Originally from Chicago, but I move---"
Local: "Hey now don't you go moving here to change this place, this ain't Chicago, damn Yankee, blah blah...."

I eventually had to yell "HEY!" to get him off his stream-of-consciousness so I could tell him I moved there to get the hell AWAY from Chicago, not to bring it there. The only thing I miss about Chicago is the hot dogs and pizza. LOL

but how many times have you said "You people sure panic and can't drive in a little snow, back home it once snowed 6 feet overnight and we still had to go to school and work," lol.

Most people leaving those types of places do it because they don't like certain aspects, like crime, taxes, etc., but it is also not uncommon for them to continue to vote for the same type of government that they had in that place. They are moving to escape the poor situation, but fail to see the correlation between that situation and the way the area has been governed. I've seen it with people moving to Wyoming to get away from California. They wind up turning the county/area that they move to into a mini California. Prime examples: Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the entire state of Colorado.

Oh hey, you're 100% correct. In my case we left Chicago before I turned 18, but yeah, I know TONS of people who live there, and see what's going on, and 'know' the government there is corrupt, etc....but they just can't fathom moving anywhere else.

The great thing about self control is everyone has the ability to learn it, but for some, it s hard to fathom. If you want to live a life of stress, then dont bother, but I think a stress free life begins with you. I think it starts with adjusting ones expectations. It has a way of helping to relieve the anxiety that sometimes confronts you. It doesn t make you weaker. It actually makes you stronger; especially in the face of triggers that used to effect you. Before it angered you, but now you just smile, and move on.

I've decided to make a list of things that DON'T make me angry. Probably take less time

    - Shooting
    - Fishing
    - Being alone in the wilderness

    I think that's it.
