Or when I'm doing the speed limit in the right hand lane and some asshole insists on tailgating me. Especially if they can easily go around.

Saw a 18wheeler had BIG airhorns mounted pointed at his blind spot. SO wanted to see this in action. Gotta be a youtube out there somewheres.

Yes, hate it when you pass someone on a 4 lane and they speed up to match you.

People that use “America” and “The United States of America” interchangeably.

Because... fact of the matter is...

“America” is NOT a country. It IS a land mass continent that houses the great country named “The United States of America” or USA for short.

But I get it, ignorance can be bliss.

I don't do this deliberately but I drive for fuel economy so my speed will go up or down by 10 km/h if I'm going down or up a hill. Not my fault; I didn't put the hills in.

Love this! I had not come across this before! I shall use this some day in class...

How true right?! Growing up, this is how I learned it and school for me, back in a day, was not exactly charmed, far from it!

Same goes for the fellow North “Americans” to the south of the USA. The official name of the republic is: The United (Mexican) States of America.

Heaven forbid the inhabitants there only refer to México as “América” or they slip and call themselves an “American” from “A” United States.

    I know, I know... I digress...

Lastly I do take solace in that at least Lee Greenwood gets it right...

If you have cruise control, it is almost impossible to beat the MPG's of cruise control unless you have very steep hills. We don't have many hills like that down here on the Gulf Coast. I can always tell when my wife has been driving my truck because the average MPG is about 1.5 MPG less than when I drive it. She doesn't use cruise control on the interstate. Her driving is not much different from mine otherwise.

I allow them to pass me - ONCE. After that, if they slow down enough that I pass them (without changing my cruise setting), they had better be ready to be blocked until I reach my destination.

When I drive my wife's Corolla on the highway with my method of holding the throttle position, I get almost exactly 1 L/100 km better than when she drives the same route using cruise control.

NJ DMV makes me angry. Should you move to other state, never move to NJ. NJ taxes are highest and the state service is of the lowest quality. To register a car in DMV I need to spend the whole day waiting in the line and then another day arguing with disrespectful DMV employees. This is not about the particular DMV (though I wae in Springfield) - this is about the whole state. Can't wait to run away from this hell.

No problem - I will NEVER move to NJ. But I hate to tell you this - DMV's in most states are just as bad. The only friendly DMV with quality service that I have ever seen was in small towns where everyone knew everyone else.

Additionally, those people who put their turn signals on, slow almost ALL the down...and then zoom off as if to say "Oh duh, wrong turn" - multiple times.

Entitled assholes that refuse to acknowledge they're not the only person on the road. Some examples I see regularly are:
    • Bicyclists not using the bike lane because there's a pine cone that's a threat to their skinny ass road tires. I understand the small tires, but it is the wrong tool for the job. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
    • People walking in the road instead of the sidewalk a few feet away. Get your ass on the sidewalk or license your ass to be in the street. I'll happily drive around you as long as you're paid our insane licensing fees.
    • Drivers that refuse to go around the block when they miss a turn and instead block traffic and do an illegal turn.

My bonus today was a twit that decided to read her mail after getting gas tonight before moving her vehicle. Cars are 2-3 deep waiting for gas at Costco tonight. She was already done fueling when I arrived. I got the pump and had about 10 gallons into the tank before she got out with her mail to throw away.

This is especially noticeable with the current desire to keep 6 feet away from everyone else. And then people get snarky if you politely ask them not to stand right in a doorway or the middle of the aisle or something. I cut off an old couple in the grocery store when I had to go down a different aisle to get around them after they stopped to check their receipt for the third time between the till and the exit and they acted like I was in the wrong.

Just this morning fueled-up Wife's Pilot. What is it that prevents people from switching from headlights to PARK Lights when sitting? Is there a new law that prevents people from pulling up to the NEXT GAS PUMP, instead of the first one?

Every time I've gone to the gas station lately, someone has pulled up to the pump right next to me even though every single other one has been empty.

I guess it's natural (herd mentality) How many times have you seen people drift over and follow someone turning, only to realize "hey, I'm not going that way":D Here in MD, we usually wait till we're IN the 'turn only lane' before signalling, that way, no one really knows our intentions but us! Riding the brake for a hundred feet or so before signalling helps with that too:thumbsup:o_O

People who stand in the middle of the grocery store aisle BSing with their friends. People who let their children run rampant in the grocery store. People who stand in the middle of the grocery store aisle comparing prices, using their cart as a fortified road block. Technology illiterate people who can't figure out the self checkout.

I may have gotten a few looks last night when I loudly commented to the wife that I was bound to run someone's ass over and that a grocery store was no place for children with neglectful parents. She commented that kids will be kids. I replied that "kid" was French for "nature's little speed bump". She called me a cranky asshole. People began staying out of the middle of the aisles and the kids gave me a wide berth. Success.
