My wife hates hearing other people crew or crunch food. But she'll hang out on a different floor of our house until I decide to have something crunchy for a snack, come to the main floor (kitchen/living room area), get mad at me and demand that I go somewhere else to have my snack.

A woman I worked with would spend ten to fifteen minutes sucking on a straw to get the last drop of a drink. Homicide crossed my mind many times.

I've probably already posted this but drivers that seem to think when entering a highway on an entrance ramp they have the right of way. And they don't match the speed of the traffic. Hell, I can blend right in with the Tundra pulling a 6K# travel trailer. Once when unleashing the beast the wife said, "You do that because the sound the engine makes".

I also enjoy when people are using an on ramp and they slow down at the end, like coming to a stop sign, and then trying to merge with 60+ mph traffic from a 10 mph roll. I believe the emotion I feel is hatred.
Also, people that sit in the right lane at a stop light and see the 11 signs that say the right lane ends ahead. As they pull ahead, they just keep going and don't look in their mirror, as if they have right of way and everyone is just s'posed stop and let them over.
I usually look over at them and just stare at them as I keep driving until they realize their lane is ending and they have to slam their brakes. I usually get a lot of honking and hand waving. I just assume they're trying to get my attention, to thank me for bringing it to their attention that their lane was ending.
    Fkn schmucks.

On my drive home yesterday from Tuscaloosa, I had about 80 miles of two-lane highway. Hills and curves make it challenging to pass. But there were still MANY opportunities to pass slower vehicles. I came up on a line of 5 vehicles (I was the sixth) where there was a truck leading, going about 45 in a 55. NOBODY was passing even when a safe opportunity presented itself. So I passed the truck right in front of me. No problem. Then, at the next opportunity, I passed a little Mazda from Virginia. The Dylan Mulvaney look-alike driving decided he/she/it didn't like what I was doing so it tried to close the gap. I wedged in regardless and it gave me twin birds until I passed the next vehicle. If you don't know how to drive, especially out in the country on a two-lane road, don't get pissed at those who do!

That shit drives me nuts too. The majority of humans must be "herd" animals. Seems I'm the only OIP (7).jpg alive that's not afraid of being alone. I don't like crowds, I don't like waiting in line, and I certainly don't like traveling in "packs". Speed up, or slow down, just get the @#*! away from me!

My saying is, "If you've going to lead then LEAD. If not, get out of my way and follow. I'll never understand why some people pass then slow to a speed lower than what I was doing when they passed me. GET OUT OF MY WAY YOU MORON.

Most people like to follow, and be in a group. Same as dogs. And they like a sense of rank/order within their groups.
And no one likes the idea that you get to get out of line and go ahead, like you're getting to do something that they can't. It's just not fair. And most people don't like the pressure of being the lead, but they also don't like being the last in line. Everyone likes that comfy, middle of the pack position. That's why when there's no one behind you for a half mile, an idiot waiting to pull out of a driveway will pull out and cut you off, when they could've waited 2 more seconds and pulled out when it was safe. They don't want to be last in line.
It all boils down to: 8 billion humans is too many for a planet this size. Most people don't contribute anything, will never invent anything, will never have anywhere important to be or anything important to do. They will spend most of their life just being in the way and consuming resources.
But, as long as there's money to be made selling them consumables, no one is going to do anything about the root cause of every problem we have. Which is way too many humans.
Someone needs to start crop dusting the planet with birth control.

With my first wife, we usually went to her Mom's on Sunday for dinner.
When it was time to go, with 2 small kids in tow, her mom would walk us out to the car
She would then talk to her daughter for another 30 minutes to an hour by the car about mindless BS.
    It would drive me crazy.

I finally quit going, there was no reason for me to be there anyway unless she needed something fixed..

Rotaries and people who don’t know how to use them or know who has the right of way along with the implementation of them in town neighborhoods instead of just highway intersections.

Rotaries are what others call roundabouts. I’m guessing that’s just unique to New Englanders.

They are not unique. Some jackass has implemented them here on state routes (highways) and it's one of the stupidest things I've seen lately, and I've seen a lot of stupid things.

I would like to find said jackass and kick the ever living shit out of him.

I don't pass a lot on two lane roads - especially when driving the wife's Corolla - but I don't mind those who do safely. The guys who get double birds from me are the ones in luxury sedans or pickups who pass on a solid line around a curve or up a blind hill.

If you only have as much as fits in a single bag (or less), why didn't you use the self checkout?

Same question I ask my coworker when we do our grocery runs for our work rotation. He insists on using the staffed check out because it supports the economy by enabling someone to have a job. He then bitches how slow the minimum wage clerk moves, how long the line is, wants to know why they're making $15/hr with that lousy work ability etc.

Meanwhile I've cruised through the self check out and have been sitting at the truck for 10 minutes waiting for him. He keeps saying he'll finally start using the self checkout, then always goes back to the staffed till. I think he just likes the abuse.

Which brings us to another subject. When you swipe that first object and the machine is nagging you one millisecond later to put it in the bagging area, FFS give me a chance to reach over to the bag and open it before you give me an earful.

I don't go to grocery stores very often anymore, but I noticed that the self checkout lines usually have a longer line than the regular checkouts. Because everyone wants to save time and use self checkout. Checking out is quick, it's the waiting for a register that's a drag.
I don't go into a grocery store if I'm in a hurry. But the laws of nature still apply and it still takes longer than expected. If you see a line that's short and squeeze in, someone in front of you will have coupons, need a price check, dig for exact change, etc. And the person that was at the back of the line next to you that was 3 times longer will leave the store before you. Same rules apply if you get out of a line that's held up and move to one that seems to be moving quickly. As soon as you move over, a new cashier will show up to change drawers, then the receipt printer will run out of paper and the lady with coupons and a million price questions will be in front of you. And the line you just left has cashed out 8 people while you stand there.
Convenient stores don't have self checkout. I don't run into convenient stores often anymore either. Once in a while I will run during lunch to grab a single thing. In/out in under a min. Well, it would be under a min, but there's always someone buying scratch offs, or has 2 dozen lotto tickets all over the counter that they want checked 11 times.
These grocery store check out line rules made by the universe also apply to busy home improvement stores, dept stores, etc, too.

BTW, Aldi has a pretty great setup, if you actually still leave the house and grocery shop.
Not sure how many regions have Aldi stores.

I had a clear dotted line and a clear path ahead to pass one vehicle. The Mazda left plenty of room for me to get into - until I started passing. When they tried to close the gap, that was when I wedged in.

I have never, and would never pass on a solid line, or with a blind hill or curve. I'm going to Heaven, but I am not chomping at the bit to get in.

Yeah, not trying to point the finger at you. Just pitching in my 2 cents on what makes me angry when driving.

My route to work is primarily a two lane highway and there isn't much at the end of it other than work. All I can say is a lot of my co-workers appear to be a lot more gung ho to get there in the morning than I am.
