I don't need to hear Blue Christmas by Elvis multiple times a day.
The Boris Karloff version of You're a Mean One Mr Grinch is the only one that isn't shit.
Most jazz covers/versions of traditional Christmas songs are shit.
There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays is shit. Who cares about Pennsylvania or whatever it's supposed to be about?

How about some actual carols instead of all the secular Santa crap?

 

Same about Christmas movies. Everything is santa related. Would like to see more about the Birth of Christ.

 

My wife and her family really like The Nativity. It's pretty good but some parts are a little cheesy, like when the star shines down directly into the stable like a spotlight.

Don't you mean people WITH exact change? I mean, I'd rather be behind someone who hands a cashier a 20 for something that cost 4.49 than some lady who is going through her purse after saying "I think I have some change".

 

Have your exact change ready. It's like when I go to the Dollar Store. If I buy one greeting card, it's going to be $1.05 and if I buy two, it's going to be $2.10.

 

The Dollar Store is now a $1.50 + tax for every item here.

Always carry enough cash for a week's worth of regular needs. I guess being a mobster has its perks.....

 

That brings up another one that makes me angry; when you pull up to the pump and the cc reader is not working.

Then we need whatever Canadian magic is used on them down here! When it gets cold and windy it's a mess.

 

Pretty much all Christmas music is crap. It should all be quiet background music at best. Nobody in their right mind actually puts that stuff on at a normal volume and listens to like a new rock album or something do they?

Debit or credit card, tap and get out. I want to spend as little time as possible at the till and waiting for the cashier who can't do basic math isn't condusive to that. Cash is for when plastic doesn't work or when I don't want my purchasing history tracked or recorded, like when I buy a gift for The Woman and I don't want her to see the transaction on our statement.

 

Depends on the music. I don't do the carols and stuff, but Trans Siberian Orchestra's Carol of the Bells, or other epic adaptations without words can be cranked.

That's kind of a fair point. There's that Imperial March/Carol of the Bells mashup that's worthy of being cranked up.

 

Sushi. The answer is always sushi.

 

I don't eat sushi. A burger and a Coke please.

 

The Woman eats sushi. I constantly remind her that's she's eating bait. She told me that was bullshit. The next time we went fishing, I picked up some calamari and sushi rolls from her favorite sushi joint on our way out. I proceeded to outfish her 2:1 that day. Pro tip: Once you shake the rice and seaweed off them, pike like the sushi rolls. Walleye were preferential to the calamari.

I generally don't eat food from the water though. Not a fan of fish, despite loving to fish and I have a shellfish allergy which is convenient since eating the cockroaches and spiders of the ocean never appealed to me.

 

I hate fish, but I love sushi. Have you ever given it an honest shot?

Yeah, I've given it multiple tries. Can't do it. Honestly, seafood in general is just extremely unappetizing to me.

I've heard that album. It's ok, better than the stuff I assume gets played on the radio (I don't listen to the radio though, it makes me angry).

 

This is a nightmare statement to make while working in a firehouse!
