Holy crap, this is about 1000 times worse on TW. I may be trading to a Tacoma, but Tundras.com will always be home!

 

When the wife pays 5k for braces out of pocket instead of using our dental benefits that covers 4/5th of the cost. Now have to work with the dental office to bill insurance and get my money back. First world problems but damn man you would think it would click in her head to think "oh yeah I have dental coverage".

 

The dental office should have contacted your insurance company for a pre-authorization before doing any kind of treatment.

 

They will only contact them if you tell them you have dental insurance and give them the info. It sounds like his wife forgot that they have it and paid instead of telling them about the insurance coverage.

 

Nope. So she filled out three pages of paperwork. To include insurance info questions. They went over the charges for the braces. She paid cash somehow her and the dental tech overlooked the fact she had TWO dental plans. So now they are sending the claim over to one, waiting for them to pay out and sending the remainder to the next. THEN I get a refund from the dentist.

 

Oh hell. That's quite the fumble all around.

 

Yup...this. Still scratching my head over it. Went over all her medical visits for.good meausure...sure as shit she paid cash for some services that were covered under our second insurance. So working on recouping those funds. She wants to burn cash..I still have some more addons for Tundra I can spend it on.

 

LMAO. You should tell her that your mod budget will consist of all the payments made in error. You might get a SC out of it.

 

I'm fortunate to have double medical and dental coverage. However I noticed once you tell providers you have two plans they seem to get wierd about it. And I figured out why. They bill for x dollars...but their in network agreed upon (contract) amount is reduced to -xx dollars. They get paid less from what I can understand.

 

YES for sure! Lockers first. And then maybe...

 

It's bad enough dealing w/insurance companies/benefits/EOBs and all that BS on the first go around when it's submitted properly. But, to try and recoup on the backend.

Good luck w/that, I'd get about 2 or 3 phone calls into that mess and be like..

Gone are the days of going to the doctor and not even thinking about coverage. I MISS YOU MARINE CORPS!

It'll all work out i just need to manage every medical claim to ensure it processes.

Well, that's part of it. The other part is the time it takes. They like billing people directly because aside from dirtbags, they KNOW they'll get their payments within 2 or so weeks.

With insurance (we have *three* dental insurances - long story) they have to submit to one and wait a month or so....then submit to the second...THEN submit to the third. It's not abnormal for us to see a bill an entire third of a year after services rendered. LOL

 

Having to reset passwords.

 

Eating establishments that play music at gunshot decibel levels. My wife and I went to Cane's today and I almost had to scream at the counter to place my order. Conversation while eating was, at best, strained. I've written to them in the past with a complaint about the sound level, but they seem to take it as a compliment.

 

Even worse for me is churches that do that. A local mega-church has ear pro available to those that care about their hearing.

 

Yet another good reason to never go anywhere near a church.

 

That and the roof falling on my head if I walk in.

Super Duty pickups with oversized tires that aren't worth a crap in the snow. They'll drive 20-25 mph below the speed limit (in a 45 mph zone!) right down the middle of the road so you can't get around them.

 

Once again, people who don't understand a stop sign and can't read a bright reflective orange sign that says "Check in before proceeding" into a logging operation.
I am going to buy a PA system that plays Ride Of The Valkyries as I chase them down. That way it scares off any deer or elk that they could have been quietly hunting had they stopped for me to tell them that there is logging equipment blocking the road 5 miles up the hill and drive slow around the blind corners because I have been cleaning up rock falls for two weeks.

 

Going to an HOA meeting to "find a direction" on what's next on our Co-op's life.. and get answers to that effect on my own property...

Only to leave with more questions and basically nothing accomplished.
