    Just the other day a dude blew the stop sign to get in front of me. I didn't have to slam my brakes and didn't get up on his ass, but then he went 5mph under the speed limit. I passed him and I got the bird :rolleyes:

    WTF... I CAN NOT STAND IT when people grab the middle of the mustard tube and twist squeeze the living daylight out of it and then just toss it back in the fridge for the next guy (me) to straighten out...The freakin tube ends up cracking and you waste product! :mad::mad::mad:

    Yeah... it's actually really good! So, a lot of places put in their german foods section for some reason, but it is actually swiss made product produced by a company that is owned by Nestle. It comes in sweet, mild, medium and hot!! It's definitely my favorite for pretzels and brats...

    I may work in an IT environment but I totally understand this. I used to work in what was called CMB (customer management branch); and it's been my experience that particular kind of division is the red-headed bastard stepchild of any IT shop, because they ALWAYS get the sh*t work shunted over to them. Other departments get to say "Not our work" and that's that....but CMB? "First line of defense" or some sh*t. LOL

    What makes me angry? Forum moderators who ban people with no warning or explanation given. What is the purpose of a ban if the person being banned doesn't even know what they did to get banned in the first place? What is a person supposed to learn from that? How will they avoid doing that thing again in the future? And why not discuss it with the person first? Why jump immediately to a ban?

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but these DISCUSSION forums should involve a bit more DISCUSSION rather than jumping straight to banning without explanation.

    Uh huh. And what if the person DID read the rules, and followed the rules but still got banned and has no idea why?

    There is a reason we have things like "due process". People should be told why they are being punished. There are millions of reason why and literally no reason why they should not be told. Unless the ban has nothing to do with a rules violation, and is just a personal vendetta.

    I don't think you will find that to be case on this forum. You can't create a policy that lists every stupid thing a person can say or do that will get them a "vacation". All you have to do is be respectful of others and adhere to the few rules that are nonnegotiable. This isn't Facebook.

    Well I guess we will never know since it was never disclosed which rule was broken. If only there was a way we could know which rule was actually violated. Then we could work out what happened. But apparently, it is absolutely impossible.

    1. Doesn't do any good to post the reason for the ban in a thread that can't be seen by the person being banned.

    2. According to that thread, the ban in question was over something that didn't even happen. Which could have easily been cleared up had the moderator given a simple warning or had a discussion rather than going straight to the ban hammer.

    Did you get a brief vacation or perma? If you're back from a brief vacation you should be OK. However, if you have created a new account to skirt the ban, I'm pretty sure your new account will be banned as well - and your ban will be permanent at that point. At least that's what I've seen in the past listed in the "banned memorial" thread.

    The ban in question was supposed to be temporary and have already expired. But then it didn't. So who even knows what's going on? Certainly not me.

    You were given a short vacation from the site due to making a political post concerning certain hotbed topics that have been made political in the last 2 years

    That being said, we don't ban folks for vendettas and that's why there are several of us who decide when and for how long bans are enacted

    We do ban people who are disruptive to the site or bring up inflammatory topics etc etc
