There have to be other and better dealers in the Tacoma area. I know there are all around the Puget Sound area. Vote with your business and dollar.

More sad and confused than angry.
    Ordered from drive thru.
    That will be $6.29.
Happy I came close to exact change and hand over $6.50.
This is what I got back. No clue how.

Kids today cannot give change back unless the cash register tells them how much to give back. A person can tell if they were told be the cash register or if they counted it back as they pulled the change by what side of the change they start on - the pennies or the quarters. If they start with the quarters then the cash register tools them to give back whatever amount. If they start with the pennies then they are counting back the change (ie. Total $2.79 you Babb them a $5 bill. Starting with the pennies in your head it would be "eighty, ninety, three, four, and five. Thank you.)

Forget all that though. I'm more interested in the skull shifter knob.

United lost my baggage been on the phone holding for a combined 18 hours over the past week. I have found a trick though, whenever you go to take a dump in the middle of these hour long hold times, they answer the call.
so my tip to y'all = do the dump in the first five minutes, quicker service.

My A/C died last night, and I noticed it at 9 pm, I'm sure it died shortly before that because I DEFINITELY would have noticed it. WHY ALWAYS LATE AT NIGHT?!?!?:mad::mad: Anyway, I had to pull our hurricane window unit down from the attic and install it before going to bed, but that thing took half the night to cool just our master bedroom off.

Flood irrigation. It's inefficient and flooding my whole damn yard. We always got a bit damp in the irrigation season, but now the uphill neighbor got permission to use the run off for his property and I'm sinking as a result. Worst possible time too. Huge stressful shit at work going on, commitments to others on my days off that will have me out of town most of my week off, and I'm in a freaking pond. F. M. L.

I am not familiar but I think I know what you are taking about

I would see if you can get get whoever has the irrigation to cut a swale to flow it around your property. Seems like they are using to much or they don’t have proper containment. No pond for it to go back into?

Its complicated, but the neighbor using did dig a ditch and we had discussed it. The trouble is, with good intentions to divert it to his property instead of mine, he put a little dam in it that basically created a pond directly above my house. The surface was diverted to his property, but the pond saturates the ground and the idiots that built my place put it in the lowest spot on the whole damn lot. I'm probably 4 feet lower than the pond, so it's not overflow that is running down to me, it's the saturation that is making the water rise up underneath.

Ahh makes sense. Seems like if they had lined it or made sure it was super compacted clay you would not have as much saturation due to the pond but it still would be an issue. Drainage is something I deal with at work quite a bit and it is definitely more than moving surface water.

Hopefully you find a solution so keep you a little dryer

I'm trying to convey to him in a nice way, he's not a bad neighbor, that the 11 days of field flooding puts out more water than his acre needs. If he ran it over his for a day, and gave it two to dry, and so on, then I don't think there'd be any issue and he'd have plenty of water. I did show him what was happening and got him to pull the dam to get it to flow by, but that only helps so much. There is simply too much water. As it stands I am working toward getting a ditch through my back yard to give the excess a better route off my property than it currently has.

It's been said before. But, just to reiterate... thieves and people that plot to prey on those that are either not able to protect themselves or are not present to protect their property!!!:mad::mad:

So, I'm driving home today from working one of the dogs, and when I turn off of the main road into the neighborhood, I see a small SUV stopped on the frontage/service road off the main highway. This is not uncommon as a lot of people will park there to briefly grab photos of the coastline or do a quick run down to the sand. What is abnormal is when someone is sitting in the driver's seat with the vehicle still running and you scan ahead and see 2 other dudes (early 20's, wearing dark clothing w/their hoodies up, slowly walking the neighborhood and clearly taking the time to visually scan people's homes, properties, etc.).

So, being the good samaritan that I am , I slow roll past the vehicle and the 2 dudes on foot offering up a non-verbal, 'hey douche nozzles... I've taken notice of you it's time to move on to another neighborhood!!!' As I drive past the dudes on foot, they let me get about 50' ahead of them and then quickly turn around and start walking back toward their vehicle. Well, it would seem, 'message has been received', and that they were going to return to the vehicle and find somewhere else to perpetrate their shenanigans. I make a couple of left turns, pull into my driveway, and decide to walk upstairs just to scan the neighborhood and verify the vehicle has left. I see the vehicle is gone, so I go about my business...

A few minutes later, I'm in my back yard cleaning a couple of my kennels (so no dogs are loose in the back yard), and I'll be damned if the larger of the two shit heads (that I had seen walking on foot) is now by himself walking in the opposite direction from earlier. I'm on a corner lot, and this dude is slow strollin' along the street that borders my property. He made his way eastbound up the hill (from where their car was parked) and was now turning with the road to continue southbound along my property and through the neighborhood. As he passes by, eye contact is briefly made, but he won't engage. It is very clear though that he's taking note of the property layout. I can see him scan the fence line, gates and kennel locations. He continues southbound out of my sight, and that was the last I saw of them, for now...

Working as a flagger for a logging company. On a single lane FSR in a designated logging area. I have to direct traffic from 3 directions on 3 differed CB channels, up and down the main road and a spur for another company. I am situated on the bottom side below the sky line for the yarder to make sure people know what is going on and where they need to stop (I have stop signs where I am at and at the spur and main intersection all with signs for the CB channel to be on mounted to them).
Today, the last truck through blew right by me and my stop sign without even slowing down (I sit in my truck or stand on the uphill side of it to avoid being hit since it is tight and people are idiots). I jump to multiple CB channels that he might be on and says few expletives and tell him what to do when he leave the spur road. On his way out, he blows right by the stop sign on the way out and blasts right last me as I am cussing at him on two different CB channels at the same time.

Thankfully, my boss and my boss's boss heard the entire thing as I told the driver to stop 5 times before I began yelling at him. My boss finally got the guy to answer the radio and said a few things.
He drives for a company that has each truck painted different from the others they have. Not to be vengeful (BS), but I am allowed to hold traffic for 20 minutes. If he comes back up this way, his ass will be sitting there for 20 minutes even if he only has 15 to get to the mill to unload before he has to wait til the next morning. I will continue to do that until I am confident he has learned what a stop sign means. Best of all, the boss says to do what I have to do. He even mentioned that he would get me a temporary gate if I need it to control vehicles. I doubt I will, as I am sure word will get out that I am the asshole who will make people late if they piss me off.

My brother says any time his company has put a gate across a logging road, someone has come along and pulled it down just to see what's beyond it.

That's why for closures, I use yellow nylon rope with surveyors ribbon strung off it every foot. Costs less and is easier to replace, plus less likely to cause damage that the company would have to argue against liability for. For traffic control, a gate would be closed only to stop traffic and left open at the end of the day to allow free access. I'm currently up in a national forest, so a full public closure would have to come from FS/USDA (request is already in as I have had multiple people drive up the one lane logging road without a CB while trucks are going down). However, I think lost time/money is more likely to get the point across.
