It's my brothers and sisters, we all grew up in the restaurant business so we know how to cook. Why go out other than to meet the shrimp boat?

 

I have both my phone's operating system and this app locked in portrait mode but apparently the ads are allowed to rotate the screen whenever they feel like it.

 

When the Sienna's check engine light, VSC light, and Trac Off light all come on driving I5 at midnight and it turns out to be...wait for it...the gas cap not on tight (stinking Oregon no-pumping-your-own-gas crap). Why in the world did the traction control stuff come on when it was an evap issue?

 

Because people are more likely to take it to a dealer and pay the diagnostic fee if major system lights are on rather than one that says "Check gas cap". And there is nothing in the law that says you can't check your gas cap after they finish pumping it.

 

Checking it each time would be silly. I listen for the click and assume it's okay. That's worked for well over 2 decades without issue. In this case, the tether had come off the door and lodged under the cap, preventing it from sealing. Wouldn't have happened if I'd been doing it myself.

 

Well, I guess I'm silly. But silly means I don't have to deal with warning lights because I was too lazy.

The ever-increasing decline in what once upon a time would be considered common sense. That and drivers the don't seem to know what the skinny pedal on the right is for when the light turns green, or that state law requires you to move over for FD/LEO/EMS, not meander down the road or pull out in front of the engine/ambo/cruiser and then have your "Oh shit" moment and slam on brakes.

 

There's a way around the gas pump law in Oregon. You just need to get a "Card Lock" account and you can pump your own gas a the commercial card lock fueling stations. There are regulations on who can get a card lock account in Oregon however most card lock stations accept several national card lock providers so you have options (CFN, Fuelman, etc). They sell mostly diesel but there's almost always gasoline available too.

That's a real law?!? What in the world is the justification for that one? Hell, in my area I can't think of any full service stations left that will still pump for you at an upcharge.

Edited to add, I googled the law and all I can say is....wow. Oregon lawmakers must be terrified of driving in other states where they have to pump their own gas. It's a miracle they're still alive. I have so many questions, like how do people put gas in their lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, farm equipment etc.

 

Paying 4.70 a gallon when they make the stuff just miles away!! Last week it was 4.30a gallon, this week forty cent increase in one week!!! This is beyond crazy!!!!

This drug test and shit today was my chance to get out of the goddam AZ sun and work indoors this summer. Its not gonna be a thing because I cannot afford gas to get to the testing facility. I need money to make money and the fuckin perpetuation is going to drive me right back to fuckin insanity.

Also... Gas went up another 30 cents overnight. Literally $5/gal in this bitch!!!
