Glad I'm not the only one! I have always had a hard time with this. Unless I'm in fairly consistent contact for a few days/weeks, I have a hard time remembering names of people I just met. If I'm introduced to multiple people in a short window of time, forget it, not a chance I remember any of the names or which faces they belong to.

Movies i saw in theaters are now on Turner Classic Movies.

 

It's not really two steps back... it's more like the shitshow at the boat ramp where the asshole loses his truck.

 

Everybody at work claims to be all about safety all the time and then as soon as they get out the gate things like speed limits, stop signs/red lights, double solid "do not pass" lines on the highway and distracted driving laws become suggestions.

 

After 8 hrs of glowing vests, chainmail gloves, yelling "hot shit", wearing glasses that stab me in the head, and nervously staring at the "- days since our last time lost accident" sign I just wanna get my ass home.

 

That's a defense mechanism, there's no need to remember exactly how young you aren't. Just keep in mind that you aren't yet a geezer.

My favorite are the people who will run a stopsign to pull out into traffic - nearly causing a pile up from traffic with the right of way trying not to punt them into next week - who refuse to even get up to and drive the speed limit.

I worked with these idiots for 3 days. We were supposed to be a team. This jackass showed up late, did nothing, drove a fuckin sedan, then left early on my 1st night. Way to make an impression ya fucks

When my wife leaves things in the dogs reach that really shouldn't be in the dogs reach. I've caught the dog with different medicine bottles in his mouth a few times, luckily I pay attention to what he's chewing on so he hasn't eaten any. Last night my wife bought a duffle bag for an upcoming trip. I just went down stairs for lunch and found two of those silica gel packets on the floor beside it. Luckily Tuco apparently wasn't interested, surprisingly.

Wife went and got one of the Real ID drivers license a couple of months ago, left her pocket book in the floor so what happens? You guessed it. She got mad but I don't blame the dog, she's likely to find a chicken nugget down in that thing!

 

Oh when she leaves things that he chews on I enjoy it hoping she will learn. Like she got new glasses a few months ago and a week later she left them on the couch. Yup, he chewed those things up and she was angry. She got another new set last month, they stay on her face or on the kitchen counter.

I'm just afraid of him eating weird meds or things that could cause intestinal harm. I don't mind if he chews on her stuff though.

 

I really pushed my luck the other day. Told my Bride "They've never chewed up my wallet."

This is the 3rd time I have left a gas can at the pump, went inside to pay, then came out to somebody either blatantly stealing my gas or being so fuckin stupid they dont realize theyr pumping my money. This time when I confronted the dummy, they took cover in theyr car and called the cops. 30 mins in a goddam parking lot just so the cops could say " hes not wrong, give him his $5 back."

I don't have problems like that. No chick's ever flirt with me anytime, with or without my wife present. I feel blessed to be ugly and boring.

 

It isn't my looks. 90% of women don't even notice me. Its that 10% who do that fall for my natural charm. The things that bother me are its insulting yo my wife, and my wife doesn't like me going anywhere without tagging along. That sort of thing makes it worse

 

Take it as a compliment, tell your wife it just means she did well for herself, and enjoy the perks of people being decent in this effed up world. Being offended is a choice. Choose not to be.

 

I mean I get flattered but I'd prefer it to not happen. I wouldn't say I was offended, its just not appropriate.
