We originally looked at Nobo and looked for a solid year or so. Found a decent used model with barely any usage but got cold feet before going to look at it. Then we decided to look at GD and the quality was far more superior than anything else we looked at. Went to several RV shows so we could see every option. Found a toy hauler that marked off several boxes for us but would not fair as well with gas engines. But we since sold our tow pig (Power Wagon) and went diesel. 200 mile range wasn’t the greatest.

Financing was weird, not as easy as a vehicle. I get it, it’s riskier but not for A+ credit. Credit union would only do a 6 year term for 19999.99 and under, but spend 20000-24999.99 for 10, 25000+ for 12. They never tried to upsell us which was odd. We decided to splurge and spend a little more for something with bigger tanks, a walk around bed, and plenty of storage. Credit union made everything a pain so we financed with the dealer for a better rate and term. We love ours. Our maiden voyage was 2000+ miles to the Redwoods and back. We got back as COVID was getting started. Haven’t been out since. Having a travel trailer is like buying a second home. I probably spent 1k+ on stuff for the trailer, just the interior. Boyfriend bought all of the stuff in regards to maintaining and operating the trailer. It all adds up QUICK.

The dog appreciate this much more than a RTT.

Casitas do not have the Rat Fur they have Kanga Foam Backed Carpet all over.
Older Casitas had Shag Carpet but again ot Rat Fur.

Scamps have the Rat Fur which is just a Marine Headliner material backed with Reflectix Insulation on the walls.

I am pretty sure the Oliver is just smooth Gel Coat Finish.

Congrats. Looks like the MLE? Check out the FB GD XLS owners group if you haven't already. Some good ideas and technical solutions there.

Also, GD reps monitor those groups and will jump in to solve issues. Great customer service.

State park end of April. Hit the white bass run. We had to leave it one night and head home due to severe weather. Just an hour 15 min drive so no big deal.

The XLS pairs well with the Tundra and it pulls it nicely.

No, gelcoat walls, and the only wood are the dovetailed kitchen drawers. So no wood to rot or be concerned about with mold, no carpet so no musty mildew smell.

And one more time the "Rat Fur" is not carpet,it is a Marine Headliner and can not really mold from my experience.
It is not as clean as Gelcoat for sure but it is not Carpet either.

And also it is not in the Casita Trailers but only in a Scamp.

A Casita does have Carpet with foam backing but it is completely different than Rat Fur and it only seems fair to make this distinction clear.

We have pulled our 2019 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405RL about 9,000 miles without a single issue. We really enjoyed RVing but we just bought property and have decided to sell the truck and trailer.

How does the Jayco 27’ tow with your crew max? Do you have airbags or stabilizers at all? I’m looking at a 25’ jayco. I’m running on stock suspension 2016 TRD crewmax limited, I do have the tow package for what it’s worth yet I don’t know I haven’t towed anything yet with it. Any input is greatly appreciated! We do live in Colorado so lots of hills and not so well maintained roads.

    All the usual stuff!
I have a toytec add-a-leaf and a anti-sway stabilizer bar set up. Tows great with that set up. Towed way better before I lifted it with big tires.

What’d ya get? We got a new Ram 2500 Laramie diesel a couple months ago. It’s insane how plush it is compared to a Tundra. Poor thing was so outdated.

The Fastway E2 hitch is a good bargain . It offered weight distribution and anti sway all in one package . Very happy with my E2 in the trunnion style
