Yep! You sure can! There's a setting for the Xantrex inverter for "AC in amperage" or something like that (in the config file it's called AcInBreakerAmp: 30) and you can dial that back down to as low as 5. Set it at 15, plug it into a wall outlet, and you should be fine. We set ours back to 5 amps because someone else on the same circuit had an old school bus with a clunky ass wall AC unit that drew more power, and our battery kept charging and we could use the AC. Worked quite well.

This is generally true but on the Micro Minnie FLX, you can get pretty close. :) That's the fun thing about it. The Trump AC unit is pretty efficient. maybe 1100w power draw when the compressor is on. we cooked up some nachos while the AC was running and did ok.

What cold do you expect to see? We are told it'll be bearable at freezing but won't suggest us try it with Canadian winter.

oh boy. we'll be up in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains but nowhere NEAR as cold as winter in Canada. lol. we'll probably winterize it anyway just to be safe but only when we know we're done for a couple cold months.

Got her today, we are already in love with it, it's a hot day today so just parked it outside while giving it a clean up with AC blasting, the xandrex app states the correct battery, but I can't seem to get the go power app to read the controller, it just takes forever, is that normal?

And I can't believe how off the xantrex app is, it would shows 25% while lithionic says 75%.

Tows like a champ, still thinking swap to bags.

Once I paired it, the GoPower app should be fairly quick. Did you see the posts by SactoSteve on the Winnie owners forum? He got a LOT of great information out of GoPower/Xantrex. Although more dealers are getting this info now too and are configuring things appropriately.
Yeah, the Xantrex app is WAY off of what the Lithionics one is, which is kind of annoying especially since Xantrex also makes/sells LiFoPo4 batteries too. But that app is handy. Did you see the setting I was talking about that lets you fill back what the inverter is connected to? Usually it's 30 amps at an RV park but if you're at home or on a generator, you can bump it back to 15 amps or even lower if you so desire. That's been a really handy feature.

As I'm sure you'll find out, you can't run the AC blasting all day and still have battery, but that's a given. acclimatize accordingly. :) The vent fan setting helps out too. ShowerMiser is also awesome. You'll love it.

Have fun with it! As more of them are sold, we'll collectively learn more about them too.

edit: we have the Tundra Limited, didn't think about bags yet. but we got a fastway e2 WDH. it worked great with the Tacoma and should be great with the Tundra too.

Yes, I saw the post and trying to follow with it, unfortunately my dealer is volume based, so when brought up batteries the exchanges were rather short, having a hell of a time to get gopower app to work, gonna try more of it through the week.

I can't wait til someoen figure out how to add a battery, I see xantrex box has one more battery slot

These are the apps that I have, hopefully you have the same. GoPower, Xantrex, Lithionics. Bottom row is one for the brake controller that I don't need anymore because the Tundra has one, the legit Winnebago app, and then the one for the Lippert TireLinc box for TPMS.

I've read that some people were talking about a second battery. Lithionics makes a 620aH battery and you could probably put another 320aH one there in series. I think that would work.

at least here in California, we'll probably be ok with the 320aH one since we're ok with a breeze from a fan most of the time. and if not, we have the Honda generator and additional solar panel. I do kind of wish the Tundra had that inverter/generator feature that one of the Fords has. That sounded pretty slick.

I finally got the gopower app to work before the weekend trip, overall we love the system, but some stuff is going to take some reading or figuring out, like the hot water system.

On the plus side, overnight got as low as 45ish, about 9c, it was alright without the heater, bit chilly but not bad, we think with heater it'll be ok with freezing.

hopefully your Truma panel inside shows you everything it needs to for the hot water system. :)

apparently more of these are leaving the factory and the factory is forgetting to set parameters for the battery/charge controller. Not sure if you read any of the winnieowners.com threads, but it's definitely an issue. some TX friends of ours that bought a FLX had some quirks with theirs. Their Xantrex was trying to say it was a FreedomX 1200 instead of the FreedomX 3000 that it actually was. lol. (not sure if they've addressed that yet...)

Well, dealer never told us how to turn "hot water" on inside, I was told turn it on outside then the temperature was set at like 50c or something, which was true, it'll supply it for 1min then stops, we went north the past long weekend and for the first night I had cold shower while it was 6c/42f outside...........

Until I read everything there was to read and realize I need to turn it "on" on the truma panel.

The trailer did stay toasty overnight with the heater, so I think we are going to camp well into Fall as long its not well below freezing, and yes I'm reading Winnie's thread, debating to add another 380w of solar and another lithionic battery, then perhaps Timbren independent suspension, bigger tanks, disc brakes................. the modifying ocd is kicking in hard.

A second battery is awfully tempting. we have the room for it. or just replacing it with a 620aH battery. that would take a heck of a lot longer to charge via solar, but it might be worth it in the long run.

We need to do a couple minor repairs now too. One of the roads we went down was *really* touch and one of the drawers got damaged. Damn lightweight materials sometimes.

We survived record heat at Lake Fort Smith State Park last week. The Tundra did a great job towing the trailer in the Boston Mountains.

Hooked up without the WDH bars the measure from ground to the top of the wheel wells was 37" even front and back, so perfectly level. After attaching the bars it was 37" rear and 36 3/4 front.

Very confident handling on Interstate 40 and the Muskogee Turnpike (80 mph speed limit) with vehicles passing while dialed in at 65mph. Very little sway.

Jayfeather 17xfd we've had for about 5 years. Had to stay under the 5k limit on our previous Explorer, but looking to upgrade to something bigger now that we have the truck. Might stick with something similar to the Jayfeather, just longer. Less wind resistance and no need for tow mirrors when the camper is only 7ft wide.

I've posted my trailer before, but making another appearance is the '17 Jayco 267bhsw. 30ft. The Tundra pulled it from 2200ft to 9700ft today. Pulled like a beast.

    PXL_20220930_155918970.jpgPXL_20221001_162534517.jpg PXL_20221002_160153020.jpg
    PXL_20221002_224358938~2.jpg

I am sold on the aux trans cooler. Pan temps peaked at 212°. After 30 minutes of 2nd and 3rd gear climbs to 9700ft, we stopped at an overlook. I popped the hood and felt the hoses. Trans out was hot, factory cooler out was warm, aux cooler out was cold! I was shocked that out hose/filter were cold! Ambient temps were in the 50s at that elevation and apparently kept the trans totally under control.
