Unless I'm mistaken, the Grand Design 377MBS would weigh in somewhere in the 14 to 15,000 pound range loaded and ready to pull.

I think you should give this member a little leeway. I really don't think the member would tow that monster of a camper with his Tundra. Besides, if you look at the setup of the campsite, it looks like the camper is a seasonal camping site. The trailer was more than likely purchased in place or placed there with another truck capable of towing that rig. There isn't a dealership in the world that would allow the size of a trailer to be towed with a Tundra.

Would love to hear clarification on this.

Obviously that is WAY to big to tow with a 1/2 ton truck.

Tileguy are you actively using your Tundra to drag that rig?

Yeah. I was responding to Daria questioning him buying another truck for that. That RV is clearly way above the Tundra's limits.

I'll need to add a picture with the Tundra.

Just brought home a '17 Jayco 267BHSW. Measures at 30 ft. 5400 dry, 7000 gross

Came with a equali-i-zer that I am going clean up a bit. The Tundra handled it really well, even with the equalizer all out of whack and not doing much.

Nice! Download the WDH manual and read it until you fully understand how to adjust it. Do that and you'll be ahead of 75% of those pulling trailers on the road. Hit the CAT scales nearest your departure point to know what you're dealing with. A trailer that size can be towed and stay within limits but don't expect to be packing a bed load of firewood for campfires and stay under GVWR.

Are trailer mods allowed in this thread?

Working on the new (to me) trailer to get some needs (and wants) added.

Lpg quick disconnect, hose, and adapter to the campchef. No noticable drop in flame running on low pressure RV supply.
    PXL_20220407_012352238.jpg
    PXL_20220407_011436035~2.jpg

Battery breaker to be used as a disconnect. My Jayco must have been a recall model - no circuit protection on the main 12v...oops Jayco..
    PXL_20220407_012151512.jpg

Marine style 30amp inlet kit. No stuffing the hardwired cable into the box. It also comes with the female end and boot for the cable side. I bought 3 feet of 10/2 Romex for the inside in order to preserve as much length as possible on the cable.
    PXL_20220407_012127046.jpg

Black tank flush kit (hose attachment end relocated by sprinkler parts but, who cares?)
    PXL_20220407_013007447.jpg

The only lock on this blue planet that fits over giant Jayco underslung couplers.

I like the mods. I'm interested on how you did the mod on the black tank flush. Would you mind sharing in detail how you did this mod. Thanks

This the kit I used: https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Waste-Valves/Valterra/A70.html?
I used some garden hose adapters and funny pipe to relocate the yellow quick adapter away from the tank and out by the frame where I could get to it.

Edit: Found a pic of the black tank side.
    PXL_20220326_203211281.jpg

Yes, I went heavy on the silicone and let most of it force it's way out. Not taking chances with a black tank leak.

Sold our Jayco 184BS this winter (for a $5k profit!) and picked up this Apex 245BHS in February. Loving it so far.

Picked up this Kodiak Canvas (7206) and will be testing it out once it warms up a bit. It is quite large and has a number of advantages over Napier etc in my opinion, it is heavy though.

Very nice! I love pop-ups; they're a happy medium between "glamping" and roughing it with a tent. I grew up camping in pop-ups and would have got one, but the wife insisted on a travel trailer.

This "Glamping" you type of; Would that be in a 23' TT with 2 streaming TVs, a wifi booster, a WYSE cam to watch the dog while away sipping drinks with umbrellas, an echo dot and a memory foam matress?:monocle:

Less camper, more home. Been living in it for 10 months now. As long as they can keep me on a site, I've got 8 more months planned on this round. Then a couple months off.
7x16, Tiger Foam spray insulation (after skin off repairs due to shyt Interstate Trailers build quality), composting toilet, residential shower stall, on demand hot water with recirc valve in shower to ensure I never get hit with cold water when I go to take a shower, 600w solar, Black Ice fridge (vendor was suppose to send a replacement handle since mine broke shortly after getting put to use but they never did), spring over axle swap to get 4" of lift, Penguin ii AC with soft start module. Currently in the process of building a fold down patio off the back. After a week in temps in the teens, I only used one propane tank to heat/cook/shower while keeping inside temps around 65.

DIY camper FTW. You have any pics of the inside or a floorplan sketch? I was looking at something similar as a toy hauler option before opting for a RTT on a bed rack.

Ah, a rabbit hole to go down! Thank you!

Terrible that the trailer was such shit quality and they just swept it under the rug. Gotta love how they can control the narrative, eh?

Holy shit, man. I'm still several pages from finishing that build thread (you just cut the back wall out), but that is a sweet set up you've got going and way nice. I wish I was half as handy as you are!
