for us the wife's tundra sits outside in the driveway all by itself (it wont fit in the garage). my 4runner sits in the garage nice and snow free and warmer during our brutal cold winters.

she has to remote start and clean the snow off before going to work. but hey i told her if she moved up from the tacoma, she would have to park outside.

Some cool, some not. At least the uncool ones get great mileage…

I drive the ‘18 CM Platinum Tundra. Work pays for all my fuel, so IDGAF about the 14 mpg…

Wife drives a 2020 VW Jetta R-Line 6-speed. Her requirements were manual transmission, heated seats front and rear, leather, big sunroof, cash purchase. Not many cars hit all those points, but she loves her car. Little 1.4 turbo is a turd unless you’re over 3,500 rpm. Gets about 40 mpg.

Our oldest kid, the boy, drives his dream car. FJ60 that is stupid clean. Absolutely loves it. Gets shit mileage, but his lady drives a Prius to offset…

Oldest and middle daughters both drive 2010 Prius’s. They like their cars, especially the 48+ mpg. Cheap to operate and reliable as all get out.

Youngest girl is only 14, but has a 2017 Prius lined up already for when she turns 16.

We’re pretty fortunate to have a fuel bill as low as we do with our home being almost 20 miles from anything we ever do. Wife and I both commute every day. Kids all buy their own gas unless they get lucky and mom/dad are stopped at the gas station…

almost went for a tree to replace my 14 4runner. but that back storage area is a complete mess and broke the deal. now trying to decide

    1. grand highlander
    2. 250 land cruiser
    3. wait for 6th gen 4runner limited (2025 my, most likely they will rename it to a platinum instead of limited)
    4. 2024 taco with full time 4wd

i am guessing the 6th gen 4runner will run the same engine in the full time 4wd tacoma (i-FORCE MAX turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain produces 326 horsepower, 465 lbs)

^ that is my guess too. The bar has been set high with previous generation 4Runners, hope Toyota meets or exceeds expectations with 6th gen. One example of many, third gen '96 4Runner was at 430,000 miles still running before we gifted it last year.

The back storage wasn’t necessarily a big issue for me as it offered all that I would need.

The list you have is actually the same list we have for replacing the Highlander. Though we thought about the Grand, the Sequoia takes the need away for a third row.

So we are really interested to see the new Land Cruiser and the 4Runner as we loved my 2018 4Runner.

2016 Z51, M7 trans. Unfortunately, this is sidelined for a while since I just had knee surgery so I can't get in it... or work the clutch even if I were able to get in it. Maybe in a few weeks. Luckily, I can get in and drive the Tundra no problem.

Nice Stingray. I prefer them vs the latest body style. They blended styling from the c3 and modern touches to make this bodystyle.
