Hello everyone, I'm new here and have basic mechanical knowledge... I have an 08 Tundra 4.7 2wd.... I received a CEL, VSC, and traction control light come on this morning.... Took it to get it diagnosed, and they said it's knock sensors.... After bringing it back home and popping the hood, I noticed that this harness was chewed/ disconnected.... It's located in the rear,on the intake manifold. Can anyone tell me if this may be the issue, and not the knock sensor? I don't know what this wiring is for, as electrical is not my strong suit.... Any help would be appreciated16866.jpg 16865.jpg 16865.jpg 16866.jpg

Get a volt meter, switch to 12 vdc and see if you have power on any of those wires. Can you track them and see where they go or connect to?

Well, did a bit of backyard electrical work... Spliced all the wires back together, and voila, all of the codes cleared.... Thanks for everyone's help

Now the question is... what the hell chewed through that wire or how did it sever?

That looks like a pretty clean diagonal cut from the base of the wire up and to the left. Looks like someone who is right handed clipped it with a pair of wire cutters...

Yeah, sure looks like a clean cut to me. Anyone under the hood besides yourself lately?
