Does anyone know what this interior covering/coating is called? It is color matched to the interior color, and it looks like maybe it originally covered the door seal (which is black rubber).

On my 2002 Sequoia, the covering/coating is brittle and breaking off in chunks. Anyone know what it’s called, or if I can just remove it? Or maybe how to go about removing or replacing it?

Mine started peeling on my 2001. I scored it with a razor blade and removed it from all four doors.
