overspray.jpg 2017 tundra, bought in April. Brought it through a scratch and wash like a dumbass two different times. Just noticed this along the entire bottom of the truck on both sides. What is it? I thought it was rail dust.... washed the truck myself following recommendations by @WarEagleSteve then sprayed it with IronX, then clay bar. Didn't even touch it. Looking for tips, tricks, ideas. Thanks for any help.

Ha! I feel like an idiot, never noticed it until last week. It doesn't seem to be working the best because I got a nasty chip in it. ( I have a gravel driveway, 1/4 mile long, try to drive slow, but sometimes I gotta get going) Any tips for how to handle this?chip.jpg

Yeah don't laugh but I always stop and pick the rocks out of my tires before I drive down the road I guess you can call it OCD. Lol

The tires on the truck are terrible for getting the gravel stuck in them, had some Maxxis tires on a previous truck that I never had a problem with, guess I might have to upgrade the tires sooner rather than later.

The chip is out of the bottom where the "rockguard" is, it's a slightly different color than the actual silver paint.

Rock Guard is beige in color...use the touch up paint to cover it up to match the color of your truck

Toyota has been doing it for years. Had it on my '98 Tacoma. Fender flares and mudflaps will keep most of the rocks in the wheel well.

No mudflaps, flares and improper offset will just about guarantee stone chips, road rash.

Blackrhino nailed the offset perfectly for me on these wheels with OEM flares.

    Still rolling stock baby....
A co worker bought a new F150, had a 6in lift , tires wheels installed at time of purchase. Did not get fender flares, I warned him.

Couple weeks go by and he tells me has to have a passenger window replaced. Seems a rock flew out of the tire and hit the window, he now has fender flairs...
