Tundra TSS initially 2WD. will be changing to 4WD
I love Toyota trucks and I love the 2021 Tundra, but....Did you know that the Tundra TSS Off Road can be a 2-wheel drivevehicle. Is it not deceptive to label a 2-wheel drive vehicle "off road"? Has this deception been experienced by anyone else?

I wouldn't call it deception. Based on what the TSS package is, you can tell its pure cosmetic. No part of the package provides any off road advantage, besides the A/T tires that they include.
You can try to bring this up to Toyota but I don't see it going your way. Hope you still enjoy your truck though!!!

the TSS Offroad is a package offered by gulf states. being offroad doesn't mean you're tackling terrain meant for rock crawlers/mud boggers/etc. it adds a couple things like floor mats, A/T tires and a couple other aesthetic items. more ideal for a 4wd...possibly. but not everyone who "offroads" needs 4wd. simply someone who needs/wants benefits of better tires and floormats

The dealer doesn't install this package, maybe the dealer distributor.
Dealers like to add 6 inch spacer lifts with aftermarket wheels and 35" tires and charge $20k for them

I have a 2015 TSS truck, it is 4x4 and is a southern truck from Texas. Dealer said it’s a package from only southern dealerships. It’s not much different from my 2010 Tundra except interior details and few changes on the outside. Both SR5 and 4x4.

I have a 2018 4wd with TSS package and have had a 2018 2wd with TSS. Both trucks were SR5 trim and near as I can tell TSS adds the running boards, wheel/ tire package, LED bed lights, blacked out emblems and exhaust tip, and a snazzy bed sticker that I peeled off of my first one. I’m not sure if SR5s normally have console shifters or if the TSS package adds that as well. Ive seen them both.

All in all I like the rims and console shifter if that’s what it adds. The rest of the shit I either could do without or would have liked to add my own, for a definite cheaper price.
