The 2020 lets you just slightly push down and it does the 3 blinks.

So _that's_ what a Limited trim gets you! On my Honda Accord I can only do it on the driver's window. Wife's XC90 has it an all windows. Surely a $1 switch per window...

    YEs,
I'm not sure why they didn't add it on all windows.
I know a friend of mine as a scion Tc and it's auto up and auto down on all windows. I want to find one in the junk yard and see how they are wired and possibly use the switched.

GM had sensors on the rear doors for 2019 and took them away for 2020.

You can disable that in your radio setting. I always thought that function is not safe.

If you re-initialize your TPMS that should fix that issue. Push in the TPMS reset button and hold until the symbol on the dash blinks. Something like that. It’s in the manual. Believe it or not.

Hmm. I will give that a try. It really just bugs me that I have tires inflated to factory settings and the damn light comes on. I asked the dealership about it and they said.....yeah you guessed it. We just inflate the tires a bit more so it doesn’t come on.

I went through this when I got my ‘19. They had the stock tires at 45 psi. When I noticed it I set it to what the sticker said on the door jamb and I got the TPMS alert with all 4 tires flagged. Read the manual and went through the procedure - no more problem. When you do that it tells the TPMS computer that whatever pressure your tires are at at that time are the proper pressure and then it will alarm only when it deviates too much from that.

Haven’t tried this yet. Temps finally got above freezing yesterday and I had to get out a bit. Funny thing.....I rarely look at the vehicle book. My wife reads it cover to cover on her vehicles. Of course I make fun of her. I think it is time to be silent on this one. Haha

I emailed Toyota Canada about this some months ago, purely as a "please consider changing this to have the vehicle shut off when the brake pedal is depressed and disregard the door handle state" suggestion for the future. The customer service rep, Mark Hendriks, debated it with me instead, replying with "Please be advised that this occurs because of a regulatory requirement. This requirement mandates the driver being able to confirm operation of the dash warning lights during the bulb check that occurs when starting the engine. As such, the operation, as per the above, is not customizable." They don't even read the emails, they pick keywords and dump a response.

Hey @Kbar691 i forgot about an important step in resetting your TPMS, after you press and hold the button and get the symbol to flash on the dash, you have to drive for 10-20 minutes I believe. There will be dashes where the pressure should show until until the computer gets through with it’s procedure. Then the psi will be shown and you should be all set.

Yeah I saw what you did...smooth. USS William H. Stanley, and yes there were a lot of good times. A lot of hard work to be sure but there’s nothing quite like being in your mid 20’s and pulling in somewhere like Panama City, Panama or Busan, South Korea with a pocket full of money and several days liberty. Good times indeed!

I knew that my SR5 crewmax was a little basic. That’s why I have done some mods myself. I added katskinz leather seats , pop n lock on t;ail gate, remote starter is most recent change. I wish my tire tpsm system was detailed with what tire is low.

Ouch! That much time in a shipyard would suck! I was lucky. By the time I was 25, I’d been to Hawaii 5 times, Acapulco 3, Panama City (great party town) 4, San Francisco 2, Victoria B. C. 2, Vancouver 1, Curaçao 1, Cartagena, Colombia 1. Busan, South Korea 1. All at the expense of the U. S. Taxpayer, thank you very much!

I did get 3 port calls. Halifax and Port Everglades twice. Last 400 days I was in I spent 300 at sea. That said. I chose my rate and chose my fate.
