That I have to hold down the turn signal stick for switching lanes, when the 3-blink press was on other Toyota models years before. My 2006 BMW had this feature.

No floor mat hold-down clips on passenger's side. This one really gets me....NO GAS DOOR LOCK (even a freaking Corollas has them). I wish someone or a company would develop a kit much like the Camrys and Corollas to lock the gas door. This does not seem to complicated (just cable, lever, and some minor parts).

It would be different if the parts weren't in their bin already designed, engineered, and available.

That is mind-numbingly stupid they would design it like this when (to my knowledge) nobody else torments their customers in this manner.

That seems a bit harsh. It’s not like it takes a lot of effort to crank the truck back up. It takes less effort than it does to complain about it.

How difficult they made it to do an oil change. Def gonna get a Fumoto and skid plate with the little access panel.

I thought a lot of the things that mine is missing were just because of the lowly SR package really?

    Not in any order:

    - The head unit takes my phone to bluetooth without switching to bluetooth. So my phone keeps playing but there is no sound.
    - I get up early and pull around to the garage to load up. If I keep the keys with me the car beeps every time I shut the door. So I have to leave my keys in the car. That is how cars get stolen.
    - Lack of overdrive. I just did my first big road trip and noticed where my tach was riding at 85mph
    - I can't afford all the upgrades I want to do...

Already did this. Trd Pro skid plate. Fumoto for drain plug and jowett performance filter housing. Just put them on last oil change but will reap the benefits of a 10 minute oil change at my next 5k change :)

Lack of overdrive? 5th and 6th are both overdrive gears. Agree with your last point 100%.

What year did they remove the auto up/down for the drivers and passenger switches? Or is it only part of a convenience package?

I noticed the lack of auto up/down, too on my 2019. I was absentmindedly playing with the driver's window switch one day and found that if I pulled up on it twice, it automatically went up the rest of the way without any further button pushing by me. I want to say it did the same with going down, but that was a while ago. If it weren't so cold right now I would go out and test to see if I am remembering correctly. That was when I was just playing with buttons on the truck when I first got it.

I am easily confused so I might be wrong with what I think I thought I saw...:monocle:

One of my main pet peevs is related to the head unit. For SiriusXM, I wish it would display the channel name on the preset rather than the channel number. Like 70’s on 7 rather than 007.

Lack of up/down windows is a big one, the crappy stock audio is another. As for the rest, I've either done mods already or will do them some day. No vehicle is perfect.

I used to have a 2008 SR5 and Toyota deleted a host of useful things:
    - Cavernous ceiling console (had several pockets)
    - The little cubbies in each door, even had a latch
    - The 2nd glove box
    - Dual climate control
    - Transmission cooler

Mine has this, 2021 SR5. Poke the stick and it blinks 3 times.

I also got a full size spare with my 2021. My 2008 didn't have this, I bought on separately and cut down the brackets under the truck to make it fit.

When I put it in manual shift mode my input seems to only be a suggestion and the truck still shifts when it feels like it.

A lot of interesting thoughts so far.
I'll add my vote for the lack of auto-up for, at the very least, the driver's window. My 2015 RAV has this for pity's sake.

Here's one I haven't seen mentioned yet. The lack of turn signals in the side mirrors across all models and trim levels and mirror sizes. It's a safety feature people! I shouldn't have to buy tow mirrors and install them to get this feature. Lots of cars and trucks have this without the requirement for tow mirrors so the technology is proven.

Didn't I read here somewhere that the driver's side 'A' pillar assist handle put a fatal crease in the crash test dummy's head? That's another item I added, so I guess I'll take my chances.

The driver and passenger auto up and down appears to be part of the limited premium package, at least for the 2019.

    Big thing - audio sucks

    Medium thing - no storage

Small things - no under hood lighting, no bed lighting, interior lighting is weak, still not a fan of the oil filter system, you could put more than one non-charging USB in the truck...

All that said - best vehicle I’ve owned.

Lack of under seat storage, jbl stereo sucks, no A pillar handle. All can be remedied though not a deal breaker. Latest pet peeve is if I’m stop and go city traffic or just lugging around slow the tranny kinda bangs up and down in the lower gears. 2019 Tundra and have extended warranty, work the truck hard a couple times a month towing boats and a camper.

Has to be the dash rattles, when it’s cold it sounds like the interior is falling apart and the fact that only driver window switch is illuminated vise all of them. SR5 trim maybe different in other models
