    Hello everyone.
I wasn't sure where else to put this question, hopefully this is the right forum.
So I bought my 2012 Tundra SR5 Crewmax yesterday, and it's badged with "Texas Edition", but the dealership couldn't tell me what that meant and I've been, as of yet, unable to decipher what that actually means. I assume it's just a simple way to denote various bells and/or whistles but I'm not sure.
If anyone could tell me, or point me to how to find out, what the difference between a regular SR5 and a Texas edition is, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

2013 Toyota Tundra Texas Edition Package
Texas falls into the Gulf States region of Toyota's U.S. distribution, and this area is an independently owned franchise distributor consisting of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. As such, some vehicles sold in this territory are unique to the area and are not necessarily officially marketed through Toyota's U.S. corporate operations.

The price we found for the Texas Edition Tundra was a fairly steep $3995 for 20-inch accessory wheels and tires, tube steps, billet grille, chrome exhaust tip, special floor mats, and Texas Edition badging. While handsome and sporty-looking, we're not sure if the content justifies the price tag.
    Pricing: $3995
Package Content: 20-inch wheels and tires, chrome oval step tubes, chrome billet grille, 5-inch stainless steel exhaust tip, custom floor mats, Texas Edition badging.

There should be some badges, usually includes a few adders like towing package, maybe step bars, bed liner, or wheels etc.
Texans are usually proud of their trucks :).

My guess would be just a few trim pieces on interior and exterior. Entire drivetrain the same as any other.

Well, she has all of that (fancy floor mats, tube steps, spray-on bedliner, badge) so I guess it all makes sense. Thanks everyone!

Just a marketing tool. They knew there some idiots out there that would pay an extra 3 grand for some stickers if it said Texas on it.

4K+ for the T-Force Texas Edition. Instead of "I"-Force badges you got them with a "T". Yawning.......

Screenshot_20190106-115151_Samsung Internet.jpgTexas Edition here is a $20.00 set of emblems from Walmart. Typically found on Chevys with 22's and way too much other chrome.

Ok, so I feel like you're all trying to tell me I got screwed on price, but if I got this, with under 37k miles, for $20k out the door, was that a bad deal then?

Sounds pretty good to me. I think they are bashing new from dealer with said packages.

Kind of ugly there fella. Value of packages are debatable, but certainly buyers peragative..... :crapstorm:

Yep you got a good deal. First buyer takes the hit on packages like that.

Your right I probably could have gotten the point across without calling them idiots. My bad if I offended anyone with that comment.

If you got the $$$ to pay 4K for rims and stickers and they make you happy then that’s all that matters.
