Dude, that’s like my dream garage. Can we get views of the rest of it?

It’s not done, I can only work on it in my spare time and half that I don’t feel like working on it lol. But it’s my dream garage too, my wife and I saved for 15 years to build our house. 0E413643-BB7B-4841-80A8-EAADA66E5CAC.jpg4E4AB8CA-A74B-4D9F-8557-A5C8C6B32A7F.jpg 75E43562-2583-4B47-9375-341FEAE799B0.jpg

Inside it’s 26x29, it was supposed to 30x30 but things got a little messed up.

I have a houseful of people coming for Thanksgiving next week and the flooring place was dishonest about my installation date, so my son, daughter and I are installing EVP flooring in my basement and hallway. Or....attempting to! Yesterday was our first day with a lot of trial and error.....mostly error. But, I feel like with what we learned yesterday, we should be able to get it finished by next Tuesday when the rest of the family arrives."Do it yourself," they said. "It will be easy, " they said.

I didn’t do the home improvement work today, but I did pay somebody, if that counts. :D
Shop/barn finally has gutters. The gutters on my home are painted the trim color “black fox” which is a lighter black. I just did the normal dark metal black color on the shop gutters, which is definitely a noticeable difference from the trim color.
Not sure if I’m going to paint the gutters to exactly match the trim , but I think I should definitely paint the downspouts to match the body color, like the house.

I did the down-spout clean-outs as well like we have on the house. Love em!

Side note - my original gutter quote was $450 for 2 x 40’ runs, and 2 downspouts in white/brown color.
My dumbass didn’t account for over-hang, which is almost 10 more feet. The gutter guy recommended 2 downspouts for a 40’ run. That sucked to trench and install new underground drain lines (4 total now) but it’s done, and I guess done right. After adding the cleanouts, additional downspouts, more footage, my quote nearly doubled. So make sure you have your shit straight before getting a gutter quote.

Refinished the side gate. Old slats were weathered pretty bad.

Finished this spot in our house to be a more functional use of space (coats, kids’ backpacks, etc). Did this project a while ago but just joined Tundras.com so figured I’d post it here anyway.

I finished my basement theater room earlier this spring so it was all outside this summer. Tore up the yard, dropped 3 trees in the front, a few small ones in the backyard, replaced all the sprinklers, put hydroseed in the back and sod up front since I got a killer deal on it. Now I need to figure out curbing and flower beds.

Sweet transformation! Before and after pics are always enjoyable. Looks great, nice work!!!
Gotta love them Doug Firs, Cedars and Pines! #PNW! :D

Edited to add, just installed this “LYNK” sliding cookie sheet shelf from Amazon a few minutes ago. When we built the house I didn’t think of integrating such thing into the cabinetry. Built very well, and very much worth the $60. We have mainly pull out drawers in our kitchen that are deeper, and the cookie sheets were always a pain to pull out from underneath each other. Great fix.

Started putting down the new metal roof on my garage yesterday.

My boss and another co-worker came over to help. We got about halfway across one side of the roof. Had hoped to get a little further but with the short days this time of year we ran out of daylight around 4:30.

Another factor that slowed us down is the fact that whoever installed the old roof put a big glob of whatever they had around on each of the old screw heads so we had to chip and dig out silicone, hard putty?, Tar, etc. to even get our drills onto the old screws to remove the old panels.IMG_20191123_163553.jpg

I’ve got my lighting guys installing 73x strands of these led lights in these mature trees around the pool and lazy river for one of my clients. Should have it all wrapped up just in time for all the thanksgiving guest. E286056F-A38C-47DA-A028-92A28A604C44.jpg

LOL!!! My wife was dead serious when she asked me today if I’d meet up with our winery Neighbor and see if he’d help us plant/grow some wine grapes/vines. I about fell over.....and then told her when/if we could ever manage the 25 blueberries and handful of raspberries we can’t seem to manage, I just might ask. We just don’t have the time.
It’s a one-man show at my place right now

We are hosting a fairly large Christmas party, but I still don’t know how that will play out here in a few weeks :D:Do_Oo_O

I’d love to figure out how to hang a shit ton of lights from our tree though. :D

‘Built’ a beer (screw wine) cellar under my stairs in the basement. Perfect use of this wasted space. Need a door still and obviously more age-able beers but it’s a start

Wife got a couple posters made from pics we took on previous vacations. Was supposed to be semi gloss but it is gloss by mistake, no biggie. I cut up some trim to frame them up, stained white.

More flooring went down today. Slow going when you have children. Nail down a board. Cut a board. Break up a fight. Nail down a board. Cut a board. Make breakfast. Nail down a board. Cut a board. Break up a fight. Nail down a board. Make lunch. Cut a board. Nail down a board. And so on...

Thanks! They are pretty easy, just time consuming. I've done a couple of remodels over the years. The first few were trial and error. Lately I've used YouTube to help when I find something I've not encountered before. Good tools are a must. Back when I first started, I had cheap tools and that made it much more difficult and frustrating.

Worked on my garage roof again this weekend. My boss came over again on Friday to help and we finished the east side of the roof and started on the west side.

Might be taking a break from this project for a while as we're getting buried in snow right now.
