What would be the benefit of dimensional vs 3 tab? Just the look?

That and the dimensional/architectural shingles usually come with a better warranty. 3 tabs are usually 20-25 yr. Dimensional from 30 up to lifetime.

The area circled would be a dream come true for me. I only have 1 car and no wife but a 3rd bay would make all the difference in the world for me.
My buddy bought a place with a 3 car garage a couple years ago, and if that's not good enough .... a perk was the detached 2 story heated and cooled barn with a single, deep bay with garage door, and it has an addition on one side with a 6 foot wide garage door that he can back his tractor with a garden trailer or leaf vac attached. I'm so jealous. That little shop would be a dream come true. I would make the car bay into a year round wash/detail space. He doesn't wash his own cars so he just uses it as a nice little shop and space for lawn equipment and general storage. Every time I go over there I get jealous even though he drives a while tundra.

I have a few friends building a few miles from me and they are 3 car garages. I try to pound it into their heads, ADD ONE MORE BAY!!!
I added one more bay to ours when we built, and I should’ve added 2. Would’ve looked funnier than shit, but when you have a shop separate away from the house, you have to double all your tools and shit. I’m beginning to realize that.
I need a compressor in both spaces, I need impacts, tools, lube, bolts, list goes on and on. A shop is great, but every time I want to grab a wrench I don’t want to have to walk 700ft to get one.

My lot was to small to add a 3rd car I was devastated but it was the last lot available. Only thing I could do was oversize my 2 car so did that. We moved some furniture in tonight big move comes Sunday.

Well, the driveway farm gate officially went down today, and 9ft steel tubes were buried in the ground.
I’m having a simple, but custom electric gate built this week. Thank God I ran power up to the road when we built! (make note you guys building, run wire while ditches are open - it’s cheap!)
Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to weld up myself. I was forced to sub the project out. I think it’s the first project where I’m literally doing nothing LOL

    Flux capacitor!
I always recommend to run extra conduit in trenches to my clients. Conduit is cheap and easy to do. The hard and expensive part is getting the trench done. Especially when it’s all rock in my area.

Your home always looks nice! Keep us posted on the new gate. How’s the garage/workshop coming along?

    Flux capacitor!
Making more progress on my 100x200 covered arena and 20 stall barn project.
The arena erection process starts next week. I’m looking forward to seeing it go up! Barn steel arrives at the end of the month. I’ve got 8 semis loads of steel for the barn.
