I think galvanized would be better but painting it is a absolute.
If you feel the stones are to loose buy two pieces of rod, there cheap enough, and make two longer ones close to the discharge and a smaller one up stream.

You could do a little digging, cut the riser, install a "T" fitting and have the loose drain pipe buried.

That's grey water from your DW/washer drains? That can't be Code in a freezing climate..

Dries white on the rocks for hard water

The drain is on the side of the house. I added the pipe to it so it can stop going on the rocks

Yeah, I get what you're doing but I can't belive they piped it outside.

Typically you only see the Hot water pressure relief drain and Air handler condensate drains piped outside

I know, it’s stupid. My neighbor added a water softener to his and now he has issues with it bleeding over the rocks, and onto the sidewalks in the winter. He said he was going to have it corrected, hopefully it has been so it’s not an ice rink

Finally Back to a normal- ish state. I have to add a little more salt and clean the t-cell. I’m glad it’s not a pond anymore- the amount of species we attracted was insane.

I think I've recycled nearly 100 wood and plastic pallets for all the out building/ garden projects of late.

Recycling/ repurposing materials paid for my SPD exhaust and then some.

Sigh. Not yet. I’ve got too much unpacking to add that in. I’m also waiting for one more foundation drainage and landscape company to come inspect next week on source and remedy

I've been hand cleaning the Azek fascia board we have running around our porch. Up on the 8 foot ladder with a bottle of Super Clean, using a rag and elbow grease, and then painting it so it looks fresh ( I know, you aren't supposed to paint), have about 50 linear feet to do. Changing out the deck screws that some meat head put, with the correct fasteners and the little plugs to fill in the screw holes. It's about 90 today, and this job is a super PITA.

Not sure what region of the states your in but here in N.E. we get the green algae on ours.

Just a heads up, yes your supposed/suggested to paint it,unfortunately just like everything eles in this world of ours, there is a specific paint for azak, also azak is a positive charged material that attracts all kinds of stuff in the air.

Finally, we found a house to buy and closed on it last Wednesday. 2 week escrow made things interesting, but we did it.

AC has been making some odd noise on rare occasions. It did it 2x today. Sent a video to my buddy (owns an HVAC company). Said the compressor is probably on its way out. (Great). Shouldn't be too bad ($600-700 with labor and refrigerant) The good thing is, the compressor should be under warranty.

So, we moved in to the new house last weekend. We brought all of our stuff from where it was being stored at my dads house except for all my garage stuff. I wanted to get the garage floor coated before moving any of my tools etc. To make that all happen I needed to remove a wall in the garage. It was a very weird wall that made a long narrow closet of sorts in the garage. I got that taken down and have the floor guys coming tomorrow.
    2175-alpine-view-dr-rescue-ca-14 edit.jpg wall.jpg

And a picture of the view off my back deck because it is amazing.

kinda odd on the wall. guessing someone had a reason for it (whether good or not is subjective).
when i saw the floor plan i saw that back deck and figured it had to be an oasis in the back yard or something. understandable now that i see it. nice view!
hope the rest of the work to finish it goes well

The garage floor has glue residue all over it, most likely from carpet. The best I can figure is the garage was being used as some sort of room at one point and whoever owned it at the time put in that wall to make a storage closet.
